Tomorrow I have a weeks worth of basketball tryouts but ever since last night I've been diagnosed with dehydration.. All day I've had nausea, dizziness, headaches, hot and cold flashes, and I've taken lots of naps.. Should I just skip school tomorrow? I have already been guarnteed a spot on the team because I was on the team last year and she said if were not in school its okay if we miss.. Should I go? (They're 2hrs long and basically all running, after school)
You need to drink PLENTY of water to rehydrate yourself. Being dehydrated one day doesn't mean that you will be dehydrated the next day. Get plenty of rest and fluids today. If you are feeling better tomorrow, go to school and to tryouys. Let your coach know what's up and give him/her something from the dr as proof. Just skipping school and not giving the coach a heads up isn't the right thing to do. Your parent (s), dr and coach will know what's in the best interest for you.
