I am anemic as well, although mine is more severe (to the point where even if I take iron supplements for a month, I still don't have enough iron to donate blood).
Anemia simply means that your blood doesn't carry enough oxygen throughout your body, so you get fatigued more quickly (personally I can't climb a flight of stairs without getting out of breath). Foods rich in iron include red meat and dark green leafy vegetables, and be sure to include some vitamin C (fruit, juice, etc) because it helps with absorption. Also consider taking a daily supplement.

Foods rich in iron include:
•Red meat
•Pork
•Poultry
•Seafood
•Beans
•Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach
•Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots
•Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas
•Peas
You can also take supplements for it. My mom is anemic even though she eats healthy, and the only types of meat she consumes is poultry and seafood. .3.
Google can probably tell you better than we can, but:
mild anemia = easier to be tired & have less energy
Good choices of things to eat: green leafies. Beans. Anything cooked in an iron skillet (seriously - in some Asian country, they have these iron fish that they'll throw in the pot when they're making dinner, and it's proving to be a very effective way to combat a low level anemia problem they're having)
It just means you have a deficiency in something like you have a low amount of it. There are many different types of anemia. Anemia is not just in iron deficiency you could have anemia in your b12 like I do.

Anemia is a fancy name for not having enough red blood cells. I assume that in the 19-year-old girl anemia slight would be making up of less than 37% of all your blood. That is called hematocrit. If you have anemia it means that your body's ability to carry out oxygen throughout the system your system is less than it would like. Anemia which is a low red blood cell count is usually associated with a lack of enough iron to make the red blood cells. That's how the oxygen gets around in the red blood cells it attaches to a iron. The iron is inside the red blood cell. The most likely cause of this is that you are a girl and you lose blood every month. Therefore besides the normal amount of red blood cells your body needs to make it also loses blood because of menstruation guys don't have this problem. My suggestion to you is begin a once a day vitamin pill with iron in it and I can go to the doctor may be into 3 months see if you still anemic. Any further questions ask
Dried beans and dark green leafy vegetables are especially good sources of iron, even better on a per calorie basis than meat. Iron absorption is increased markedly by eating foods containing vitamin C along with foods containing iron (:
Spinach spinach spinach.
Leafy greens are the best form.
And avoid drinking too much orange juice or tea, especially while eating those.
It reduces your ability to absorb iron.
I've been having ongoing issues with anemia too. It's when you barely have any blood cells. I have it and it's not that bad other than that we bruise easily. I take vitamins that have iron in them since for me, just eating iron in foods doesn't help. :D
It means you have to take meds! Also, you have to consume think the are good for that like red things... i think...
Well its basically shortness of breath, feeling weak, tired, etc... its caused by losing red blood cells, its not really dangerous since you say its just a mild form of it, but i would suggest eating foods rich in iron, like stakes, veggies etc...
Lack of iron in the blood you need to either use supplements in the for of iron (prescribed by doc) and eat lots of dark green leafy veg especially broccoli.
You need food with iron i think.
