i am trying to get a flatter stomach but what ever i do it doesn't happen. how often should i workout to make my stomach flatter and what exercises should i do?
Working out won't matter if you don't put work into your diet! Anyway, any cardio exercises mixed with abs and arms, normally any work out you do with target your core and have it working! Could even do lets and that would still strengthen your core

You have to eat certain healthy foods to help get rid of stubborn fat around your tummy, and you need to do at least 30 minutes of exercise that keeps you heart rate up EVERY DAY, if you want your body to actually become fitter, and shed weight.
