Should I just consume a ton of protein shakes?
Everytime I look at fitness forums meal plan, it looks like they are eating a palm-sized peice of chicken with brocolli... not 500 different foods to get enough grams of protien.
What am I missing here?
That's about 16oz of chicken about 4 servings. cheese, milk, yogurt, beans etc have protein so just eat a balanced meal maybe alittle extra of a good with protein.
Don't believe what you read at 120lb you would need about 140 grams. 150lb about 180-200 depending on how much muscle to maintain and gender.
Nah it's easy to do, just have something with protein with every meal. Try getting in 400g of carbs while keeping your fat intake at under 100g per day, that's hard.
I don't know but if you're looking for protein you should look into Quest bars.
Most have 19-21 grams of protein per bar and they are delicious. It's like eating candy.
That's WAY to much!
If you look up how much protein we need to gain and maintain muscle, it's much much MUCH lower then 100 grams.
Everything I've researched said you need 1-1.5grams per pound of body weight of protein. If I'm 117lbs, then how is that too much protein?

Protein shakes, protein bars... and yeah, lots of chicken and beef!
Ehhh, I don't think it's that hard. I consume about 160g a day, carbs are harder for me.
Very good question that I want to know the answer as well.
10 egg whites that's around 50g
200g lean beef around 45g
Protein shake 50g
10egg white 50g
That's more than 180g
Solved
I always wonder this too, seems really hard to do
