Any ideas what might cause this? Also how do I get rid of this? Looks like I'm kinda sick, eww😒..
Actually the picture doesn't even do any justice to the purple-ness.. T_T
Umm, didn't say you had an ED? If you're chronically under eating, it's possible you're putting your health, even your life, at serious risk. Have you consulted a doctor? You said you ate 600 calories a day, I think. At your age and height, you likely need way more than double that.
See here: https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html
Rudimentary calculator suggests you probably need circa 1800 calories a day. You can put in your details and see.
@Blonde401 I've been talking to doctors and therapists about it for the past 5 years and it's always the same. I get better and worse again, just at the moment I actually am doing pretty well - like yesterday I probably ate around 900cals even! it just gets really bad when I'm bored because I basically won't eat anything then or create another "diet" so I can have something to do 😛😕 I used to weigh wayyyyy less than I weigh now so I don't know why I'm getting this purple skin now. That's why I don't think it's to do with my eating or weight.
I think you should talk to your doctor about your nails. I suspect it's just poor circulation because of your weight, you're more likely to have low blood pressure and poor circulation, so that's probably it - blood not getting around to your hands. Are your hands cold a lot? That's usually a good indicator. But like everyone else has said, we're not medical professionals, your doctor will know for definite :)
@Blonde401 yeah they're cold all the time & ok since majority of people on here thinks I should see a doctor I'm probably going to after I get back home in January. Thank you for your input!
@Blonde401 haha it's summer here though so I guess that might look a bit weird 😅But yeah I'll look for some exercises :)
There's this condition called Raynaud's Syndrome. I have no idea if you have it but here is a link that tells you more about it from the Mayo Clinic:

Lack of blood circulation! Are you drinking heaps of water and eating properly? Not assuming anything, and also is your house a certain temperature? Little things can change the blood flow of your body.
My fingernails and lips turn blue when I'm cold. Being cold slows your blood flow. If you already are hypotensive to start with , you have a double whammy.
You're not getting enough oxygen around your body or something is wrong with your heart. I'd go to the doctors if i were you
Well be careful because who knows what will happen if you they don't clear.
Hopefully all will turn out well
I mean I've been really cold but my nails never turned blue. And be careful for all you know you'd loose circulation there and they'd have to chop them off
I think thay should help
Just try to get them at least not cold evem if the nails are purple
And it depends really
If they turn worse without medical helps it's just bye bye fingers and toes
Oh and black fingers only happen in frost bite so unless you go to Antarctica they won't literally turn black haha

If your not in pain I wouldn't worry about it. Just the way it is...
You are not eating enough to provide sufficient energy to support your circulation.
Then again , I am not a doctor at all.
Well I admit that I don't eat a lot but I haven't been eaten properly since almost 5 years now.. Shouldn't this have shown a little earlier if it was because of my eating habits? Like I dont exactly know how long I have this for now but I don't think I've had to longer than a month at max..
Either that or you could have bad circulation? My mum and grandpa have bad circulation.
Well as you're saying your extremities are often cold, that's usually a sign that circulation isn't great. It's nothing to worry about through my mum and grandpa are perfectly healthy. They just go a little purple in places at times. I'm not sure if it's related to blood pressure though?
Haha don't worry about it at all :)
You're welcome :)
If anything new happens that worries you, visit your GP just to be on the safe side :) I do this too when I'm not too sure. Take care!
Good :)
Have you been painting them a lot? If so, that's why.

They do look a little blue, but this is what mine look like
This is because of cold or low blood pressure
Nyc tattoo bdw 😉
yes i think low bloodpressure. your blood circulation isn't that good i think. go see a doctor!!
Found the attention seeker. Seems like you know why your nails are turning blue and just wanted to show off your thigh gap.
You're asking why your nails are turning blue and go and take a picture like this, I used to have an eating disorder and you're clearly looking for validation and are body checking lmao. Also, you say you eat 600 calories a day and are wondering why your nails are blue and saying you have all these problems. uh yeah, that's probably why your fucking nails are blue like?
Gosh what's wrong with you tbh.. I was posting this because it was the first picture I noticed it on and I was too lazy to take other pics of my toes and fingers seperately.
Also I am struggling with anorexia since I'm 13/14 and this never happened before so I actually do NOT think it's because of my eating.
It has more to do with you being cold than anything. Maybe if the House is cold you should sleep with some heating. It would help.
You should also try eating a bit more. Not fattening foods. Just to keep your body warmer.
Wear socks, warmer clothes, exercise more, get more protein and eat better.
Eat more green leafy veggies and or meat if you eat meat.
You live once. Do it right.
Nor are you living to eat. Eat right and stop this nonsense.
Do you want to live and do you want to live a good life?
Well how about taking care of yourself better for now please and hope for better days. My life is no picnic but I am holding on the best I can.
Scary. Please be good to you as best you can is all. Life gets better.
Lack of circulation, which your low blood pressure might have something to do with it, but I'm not sure about it.
It can be a sign of hypoxia go to the doctor.
Ouch... I am not sure!
