So I just actually noticed it now, looking at this picture (really bad to tell, I know) I took this morning (lol don't ask) but yeah they actually might have been purple/blue-ish for quite a while now - my hands and feet are often really cold & I have very low blood pressure so could it just be that? Any ideas what might cause this? Also how do I get rid of this? Looks like I'm kinda sick, eww😒.. Actually the picture doesn't even do any justice to the purple-ness.. T_T

Umm, didn't say you had an ED? If you're chronically under eating, it's possible you're putting your health, even your life, at serious risk. Have you consulted a doctor? You said you ate 600 calories a day, I think. At your age and height, you likely need way more than double that.
My metabolism has kinda adjusted to that amount though so I don't really need anymore :P also I honestly don't think this is because of my eating habits..
Your body doesn't 'adjust' to eating so few calories. If you get sick, your immune system won't be able to fight it. Please talk to a doctor about your ED and take care of yourself.
@Blonde401 I've been talking to doctors and therapists about it for the past 5 years and it's always the same. I get better and worse again, just at the moment I actually am doing pretty well - like yesterday I probably ate around 900cals even! it just gets really bad when I'm bored because I basically won't eat anything then or create another "diet" so I can have something to do 😛😕 I used to weigh wayyyyy less than I weigh now so I don't know why I'm getting this purple skin now. That's why I don't think it's to do with my eating or weight.
I think you should talk to your doctor about your nails. I suspect it's just poor circulation because of your weight, you're more likely to have low blood pressure and poor circulation, so that's probably it - blood not getting around to your hands. Are your hands cold a lot? That's usually a good indicator. But like everyone else has said, we're not medical professionals, your doctor will know for definite :)
@Blonde401 yeah they're cold all the time & ok since majority of people on here thinks I should see a doctor I'm probably going to after I get back home in January. Thank you for your input!
If they're cold its circulation :) you can find exercises on the Internet to help you out until you get to the docs! I know someone who had similar issues. Hand warmers and things help too.
Oh some of it is true for me but I don't have like "attacks" and my fingers or toes never just randomly turned white, also it doesn't hurt me :P so probably (hopefully) don't have that!
Lack of blood circulation! Are you drinking heaps of water and eating properly? Not assuming anything, and also is your house a certain temperature? Little things can change the blood flow of your body.
My fingernails and lips turn blue when I'm cold. Being cold slows your blood flow. If you already are hypotensive to start with , you have a double whammy.
I mean I've been really cold but my nails never turned blue. And be careful for all you know you'd loose circulation there and they'd have to chop them off
I think thay should help Just try to get them at least not cold evem if the nails are purple And it depends really If they turn worse without medical helps it's just bye bye fingers and toes
Well I admit that I don't eat a lot but I haven't been eaten properly since almost 5 years now.. Shouldn't this have shown a little earlier if it was because of my eating habits? Like I dont exactly know how long I have this for now but I don't think I've had to longer than a month at max..
Well as you're saying your extremities are often cold, that's usually a sign that circulation isn't great. It's nothing to worry about through my mum and grandpa are perfectly healthy. They just go a little purple in places at times. I'm not sure if it's related to blood pressure though?
You're asking why your nails are turning blue and go and take a picture like this, I used to have an eating disorder and you're clearly looking for validation and are body checking lmao. Also I am struggling with anorexia since I'm 13/14 and this never happened before so I actually do NOT think it's because of my eating.
Well it's summer here and tomorrow it's gonna be over 30 degrees Celsius so I doubt I'll dress like winter unless I wanna boil from the inside lol. And I actually do eat a lot of proteins like I eat yoghurt and stuff all the time.
No you still need to consult a medical professional. If you limbs aren't warming at all this is a problem. You aren't getting enough oxygen to that part of your body. See a doctor.
