OMG yes you can be helped. Try a licensed clinical therapist first because they won't just dope you on meds like a psychiatrist would. Know that medication might ultimately end up as being helpful but let your therapist guide you to that conclusion. Other later options could be hypnosis or psychiatry.

I think you should give therapy a shot, since your issue is psychological... Also try yoga and meditation for dealing with anxiety...
