Yes, the diet is a lot more important. You absolutely must stick to your diet if you want to lose weight. It doesn't matter what diet plan, stick to it. Almost all of them required you to eat less so you really have to watch your food. You will lose weight as long as you stick to your diet.
It is way harder to lose 1000 cal per day in the gym. You have to be relatively fit enough to have the stamina for a high intensity work out to lose 1000cal extra per day. The high intensity work out will cause your whole body to burn extra calories within a 30-45m workout for the whole day.
Depending on your diet, you can lose from 1-2 lbs per week. Any more than that will be dangerous. If you cut one meal per day (skip your dinner) and do not eat anything else other than breakfast and lunch then you can lose weight steadily with a good workout.
depends on the workout and intensity. Just know that the calories counters on many machines lie. It can be done, and good luck to you.
God I use to lose that much but I would frequently pass out because I wouldn't even be eating anywhere close to 1000 calories. Make sure you EAT plenty if you're going to aim to lose that much.
Yeah don't worry I'll be eating the right amount that I need, no passing out that's for sure.
Did losing that much work for you, anyhow?
I think it did to an extent, I mean I was obviously losing weight since I wasn't eating enough and exerting so much energy into working out but, I would just be dead tired when I got home and many of those calories were put into cardio which isn't as efficient as I use to think.
What I do now is some cardio for warm up and go into lifting weights, it is much more efficient in losing body fat % and has an after burn effect so you will lose additional calories.
for me, about 5-600. that's like half my caloric intake so I'm good with that.
And that works for you when you're trying to keep weight off?
yeah it does. sometimes ill just stick with 400 though. it really depends on my mood. i also don't workout everyday so my body doesn't burn out. it's spread out nicely.
