It's all about force distribution.
When a skinny person sits on you, all their weight is pressing down through their small buttocks, so the weight per square inch is quite high.
When a fat person sits on you, their weight is distributed across a much wider area, so the weight per square inch might end up being much less.
Also, skinny people might not have enough cushioning on their buttocks, so a significant portion of their weight are pressing down on you through their hip bones.

you're not always used to the feeling of water weight. That happens to just about everyone though. That's a matter of weight distribution and fat isn't heavy like bone or water but if you were holding pure fat or you had to lift an unresponsive person than that's heavy.
