There are soo many different things you can do, and incorporate into your day in order to lose weight (and to simply feel better!). Turn some music on and do a dance workout (however you'd like!), walk instead of taking your car or a bus, swimming, going for walks, hiking, and even just taking the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. This is the first step. You want exercise to be an enjoyable thing to do - something you look forward to instead of something you dread. You can also do the typical things that someone might call a "workout". This might include jumping jacks, floor exercises, squats, running, or other various routines that you can learn about online. Another important thing, is diet. Diet is whatever you eat in a day. You don't need to go on some elaborate plan, and starve yourself. The best thing to do is to start making healthier choices. Want that cookie? Eat some yogurt topped with delicous fruit. Reaching for another slice of pizza, or whatever meal you are having? Skip it, and remind yourself that it isn't worth it. Those few minutes you spend enjoying something that isn't good for you, effects you long term. Cut out bread as much as possible, and drink lots of water! Their are so many things you can eat that are delicous, but are also very healthy for you. Remember to keep your eyes on your goal, and good luck!

There are no exercises that will help you lose weight. That is because the expenditure of calories is minimal compared to what you eat. Exercise is great for physical fitness but don't get fooled. If you continue to eat whatever amount you are eating, exercise will be beneficial to your health but will not help you lose weight to the extent that you desire.. Example there are 300 cal (approximately) in a slice of apple pie. You have to do resistance exercises on a bicycle for 30 minutes or more to burn 300 cal.
No matter what everybody says and no matter what everybody dumps on me the best way to lose weight is to decrease your caloric intake. I don't know how old you are or how much you weigh. That would help a great deal. However in general, a 1500 cal diet every day will absolutely help you lose weight. Now everybody's going to tell me I am full of crap. Go ahead people hit me with your best shot. Meanwhile
get back to me on your height age and current weight and I'll give you more specific recommendations regarding calories
The best way to get a full body workout that burns calories and gets you fit is circuit training. You can do it with an absolute bare minimum amount of equipment. Head to your local sporting goods store and purchase a pair of dumbbells that's heavy enough to completely burn out your muscles with 12-15 reps of the overhead press/shoulder press. That's all you need. Get to work on circuit training workouts like those illustrated in the Spartacus Workout on YouTube and bam! There you go!
Well that depends on what exactly you want to tone, as for losing weight all excises will help strength training combined with proper nutrition is the most effective and healthy way to lose weight though. Also just a side note if you do strength training you will not get huge muscles, I know that is a concern for some reason when the whole strength training thing is mentioned.
