I have to finish my studies back in school (I'm 17) and well, I HAVE to leave. That leaves my dad, mom and and my siblings alone. My dad left to a business trip 2 years ago in New Mexico, while he was over there he was robbed blind. When he came back, it seems as if Mexico just took all of his life. He's so fragile, he's 52 and has always been healthy and looked younger than 52. Now, people think he's 60 or 65. It's crazy, it makes him feel bad. My sisters don't care, but I do. He could pass as my grandpa (my grandpa is 78), and it doesn't seem healthy to me. Mexico really screwed him up and I want to know how can I get him to gain healthy fat? and maybe gain a little bit more weight on his face? Since the unhealthy weight loss of his, his face got worse. He rarely ate small porportions of food over there and it really hurts me to see him feel bad because people think he's real old, I know 52 isn't the youngest age.. but he looks 65. The doctors didn't say anything when we asked about it, they just said for him to try to heal his broken leg. Completely ignoring my mom's question about gaining healthy fat. Please, I need help.
You can't do anything for him if he doesn't want to do it himself. Maybe he needs to see someone about his experience (trauma) in Mexico. Him dealing with his feelings about that is probably key to his eating and physical appearance.

What kind of doctor (s) has he seen? Family practitioner, internist, orthopedic surgeon, psychiatrist, etc? And how did he break his leg?
