I am 15 years old, 5'6", around 120 lbs. I don't think that there is a need for me to lose weight, however I've recently noticed how out of shape I really am. I heard from a friend that a normal heart rate is within 60 to 90 bpm, however when I checked mine today it was 93 bpm. I know that's not necessarily bad, and is probably relatively normal. It's just that I've never been one to exercise, and I've never been into sports or any extracurricular activites related to exercise. I can barely run for a minute or so without getting out of breath. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for how I can get into shape and increase my endurance?
My recommendation is circuit training. Look up the Spartacus workout on youtube. Pick up a pair of 10 lb dumbbells or so (hex sided ones!)
