As long as you stay natural, I don't think you can get "too big". I work out a lot so I like guys that have the same focus as me and the quickest way to determine that is by their muscles ;)
I like guys with toned and defined shoulders, so a little padding around the middle won't bother that.
Just remember, don't do weights for dates. Do it for yourself. You will always find people criticizing your body, whether you're Mr. Olympia or someone that should be featured on My 600lb-life. Just keep on doing you :)
Well, there are various preferences. That's why it's always good to do what you want, and then if you want to have a relationship, find the person that likes you for you.
It is sometimes harder, and easier said than done. But in the end, it's more worthwhile. You don't have to be super jacked if you don't want to, just to get a lot of ladies. If that's your only goal, and you like to work out, then have at it. If you would rather be more lean, or chubby, then that is also up to you.
Dwayne Johnson's body has the perfect amount of muscle.
Anything more would be "too much".

It seems like girls say guys have too much muscle when they have very low body fat and are all vainy and roid looking... I have 19" biceps which are considered large arms, but I am proportional with a 18 1/2 inch collar/neck and 19 inch calves. I don't lift all that often, it's just muscle mass I built when I was younger wrestling and break dancing. I've never heard I'm too muscly, but I have seen smaller guys called too muscly. Primarily because they have around zero percent body fat...
As long as you don't take roids you will never be too big for women to find you attractive. Majority of women want a naturally muscular man, not some juiced up freak.

There is no "too much." One shouldn't train for others, only for ones own sake. You define what's too much for you.
I think a subtle toned look is enough. I dont really care for the bulging muscles its just... eugh
