The amount of people I've met irl who think they can do push-ups but really can't is astounding, so I'd take what anyone here says with a grain of salt.
"I can do 100 push-ups bro, watch me". Proceeds to dry hump the ground by bending at the waist and flapping around on the ground like a fish or go down and up by only like 10 cm and call that a push-up.

Like 20 before I get bored lol.. I'm sure I can do more if I tried but I haven't really bothered.
This is too embarrassing for me to admit

I'm 60 years old and pretty out of shape, but I can still do at least 20 good quality pushups. I could probably do more if I had a reason to.
At one time I could do over 100. I never tried to see what my limit was, but I could have kept going for a while. Those were proper Marine Corp type pushups. Body completely straight, arms fully extended at the top, no jerking, chest touching at the bottom (but not bouncing).Gosh, the people on here are so full of shit it is unbelievable. A proper push up to me, is keeping the tension throughout, 2-3 seconds down, 1-2 seconds hold at the bottom (which should be all the way to the bottom, nose near the floor), 2-3 seconds back up, no jolting movements, no rest. I can do about 20 or so *proper* pushups.
13... my elbow joints are a little messed up from all the sports i did... actually a lot of joints are messed up. if my muscles weren't as badass as they are... the bones would fall apart. i did every sport, using every bone and muscle... for years...13 is a miracle for me... one time i pushed 21... i just lay there after.
I can do about 2 whole push ups on a good day!! lol
I don't really bother counting :P what about you... stronger than me!:DAt least 4, maybe 982.
I think the most've I've done without stopping was 55, but atm I don't think I could do more than 45, I haven't been gyming in a while.
I can kind of reach 50-55 maybe, but only if my technique is shit and I'm not doing them properly.I can do the 50 required by the British army, but in about double the time limit. They want 50 in 2 mins which is pretty damn hard.
A fourth of a push up lol sad to say, my upper body weighs to much to lift from push up position, most of my strength is in my legs, i can lift a lot of weight with them bench pressing and lifts
I'm 50 and in ok shape at least when compared to other friends my age. It has been a minute or two since I actually did any push ups , but I have always been athletic. So I would say I am capable of 45 to 50 . Used to do 20 one handed with each side , but that was 15 years ago
good, honest pushups? like perfect push ups? at most 20
Oh, I'm horrible with push-ups. I can't do many in a row at all.
One.. I have no upper body strength. I can do a ridiculous amount of sit-ups though (I've got abs)
When I still did kickboxing I had to do 35 roll-over push-ups so in total that's 70 push-ups, but I've lost a lot of muscle since then. I think maybe 20 normal push-ups now.
Usually 20. And it seems like a mind barrier to be honest, because I make it a goal, and then right after the 20th, it's like my body weighs 2x more.
My max was 33 when I was youngerI can do over 80 pushups. I kinda dissappointed cause i haven't dont 100 yet. I hit a pushup plateau so i started doing bench for chest more than push ups
Without stopping? About 60. There's old men out there that can make me look like a part in a push-up contest lol
Probably like 5. Look up the video of Ellen having a push up contest with Michelle Obama so funny she thinks she cheated.
1/2. i get to the ground but i just kinda stay there and take a nap
i can't do 5 push up then stop for a moment do another 5 then stop for a moment then do another 5 and thats normal push ups not the fuckin female ones
I can't really do many push ups. I have next to zero strength in the arms.
I think I've done around 10 or 15 in one go. Then resting a little and do more.
Yes, my arms are extremely weak lol.
