I don't think its that effective, but if you want to get your heart racing in a moderately easy fashion then its a decent machine for the job. But I suppose it depends on your intensity. Its more dynamic than a treadmill cuz you can utilise your arms swell as the legs. But I personally like running on the treadmill, and straight up semi-sprint for like 5 minute intervals haha.

it´s good for your joints. especially, if you´re on the heavy side, you should take the elliptical instead of running. though in my experience, it´s just less exhausting and less effective overall.
Its a zero impact workout. good for people with plantae faciaitis , shinsplints, backconcerns, and rehabing from knee/ankle injuries. or simply just overweight and dont need the pounding on your joints
I use one at the gym as a short cardio warmup before i do my stretches.. much the same as people use rowers treadmills or spinbikes.
i like them, good for people with joint issues who can't handle high impact activities like running. it's effective if you know how to use it right, i used it often when i was starting to workout a couple years back and it still has a nice place in my heart :D

it s good.
if I wanna do cardio I ll go with 1h walk
then 20min run
20min elliptical
20 min stepper
and if I still have time bike
then a little of weights.
but I ll be dead after that xD
running tightens your ass by the way without giving you too much bulkiness and muscles on your legsWell if you're planning to workout on it for 2 hours its ineffective, but its pretty much effective. I used to see abs when I used it daily, of course I dont stay at level 1... you have to work hard.
My coach says it's good if you do it at a certain speed and intensity for 40/45 min
If you do HIIT on one, you'll be sweating buckets within minutes. You'll feel your muscles tingle up all over after a proper workout.
I personally hate it, but if u like it, go for it. Anything that makes u move is fine :) just make sure u push yourself
The elliptical is my machine of choice. I do 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. I feel it is the best workout I can have. It is very effective.
The elliptical is better than the treadmill in terms of calorie burn and intensity, I say go for it and kick ass. :-D
Honestly I hate all cardio machines including elliptical's but I use em anyway as part of my cardio training.
I like it, it's good cardio and I found that it's also great for toning up ))
They're low impact, I think they're decent as far as cardio machines go. Whether you use one effectively depends on you.
Anyone acting like they're easy should do some VO2 max testing on one.they are good for workouts i personally prefer steps over them but ya my boyfriend goes straight to them when we go to the gym.
I personally don't like ellipticals, but that's just me. Have at it
yeah definitely. you need to push yourself though. if its easy then you need to raise the intensity.
With the right intensity you should be good.
Myself with my bad leg I'm biking.I feel good when finished. My knees hurt if I run too much 😟
I used the stepper instead. I burn 600 calories in a hour on that thing.
Those people don't know what they're talking about. It's better than a treadmill.
yes, its involvement of arms contributes to burning of calories.
Yeah, at a high resistance and incline I burn a lot.
Yeah but i still prefer getting out to run
