Do people think surfers are dumb?

iv been a surfer for a long time, and I think there's a stereotype about surfers. like; were all dumb, blonde, homeless, etc. if people do think that stuff, why do they? I know surfers who have full time jobs and stuff, just curious what you all think of surfers.

We don't have any stereotypes for surfers because there practically aren't any over here. So I haven't heard about this 'dumb surfers' thing.
