How much of a turnoff is acne scarring on the cheeks?

I have fairly severe acne scarring on my cheeks, like large depressions in the skin. In other words, under the right light/angle, my cheeks are not smooth...

I usually wouldn't notice if everything else looks good

I feel awful about this, I've had these scars since I was 14 years old. I've had numerous scar treatments, and no difference. I know most of you reading this don't give a flippin **** since you never had to deal with this. 41 views and two answers!

Alright, even I too had severe acne during my teens. You can use the home remedies to get rid of the severe acne.

DO NOT ever touch your skin unless you're bathing, cleaning your skin.

Drink lots of water; this will eventually give you smooth skin

Eat fruits and raw vegetables to get glowing skin ( you can also prepare juice)

Always use the water based cosmetic products rather than oil based one

You can try applying the turmeric and milk cream mask to get rid of acne. With daily use you get flawless skin.

It's not really like any of them. Up close it looks pretty smooth, but from a distance you can see uneven skin tone on my cheeks where the indentations cause shadows.

With the second link, it's the fact that his skin is indented in the before pic. There's nothing wrong with the after pic

I'm fairly attractive, besides these awful scars. I can't help that I got bad acne as an adolescent. So are you trying to tell me that I'm ugly as a result of these scars, so I should go after ugly girls?

What I'm trying to say is that the first time I see you, there will be 0 attraction for me. I can't speak for anyone else, but I would say no if you asked me out right there and then. However, if you took the time for us to be friends, then that's a different story

The first picture that the girl posted is not so great =/ But it will get better for that guy! I had pretty bad acne before and to be honest, I certainly do NOT have good skin at the moment (just redness left over, only a few actual pimples) but it's a bit easier for me because I'm a girl and can cover it up pretty easily. So don't worry question asker, you're acne will get better soon. Patience is the key (:

I get little acne every now and then, but I have scars from cystic acne when I was younger... My scaring is more noticeable from a distance, but up close it isn't as bad. So would most girls not even consider a dude with scaring equivalent or worse than the first picture? I have gotten laser treatments, but my scaring is still pretty bad.

The first picture is not what you would call 'scars' - it's mostly just acne and redness.

"Scars" is when you have indents in your skin... sort of like holes. I'm pretty sure you just have redness left over like I do.

I probably wouldn't notice. I tend to not notice anything 'negative' about peoples apearance, or I think it's cute. My boyfriend had a lot of acne when we first went out and I only notice it now by looking at old pictures! X

I once went out with a guy who had a scar in a kind of explosive shape onhis cheek cause of an incident with a bully and a firework. I thought he was beautiful and he had no problem pulling, unfortunately while he was still with me.
