Do any of you actually hear complete silence?

Recently I've been more aware of a whine like sound I've been hearing when there's no external sound. It gets louder when I think about it, tense my jaw, or push it in. I got to thinking and I realized that I don't think I can ever remember not hearing it. I asked my mother and she told me as well she hears something but never realized it because she never thought about it. I believe it's normal since what does science sound like. I don't believe it to be tinnitus even though I did at first because how do you actually hear silence other than being deaf? Do you guys hear it too?

I have experienced almost complete silence. It was in an isolation tank filled with a saline solution that had so much salt in it that I floated on top of the water.
The only sound was my breathing.
After a while, I began to hear my blood circulating and my heart beating.
It was weird.
I have read that during an isolation tank experiment in Russia some years ago the man in the tank went insane after a few hours.

Sounds like you need a doctor. But unless you're in a water tank complete silence in impossible.

I always hear white noise or a low humming buzz.
