How do you lose weight and tone up quickly?

I have noticed that I'm putting on weight and getting flabby quickly. I went from 141 to 152 in 6 weeks. :/ I know I need to start watching calories again and stop being lazy.
My guy is going to be in Rio for work all next month, which he has recently been on a strict regime for to be extra-fit. I want to surprise him when he gets back to be looking either as hott or hotter than I was when I met him.
Does anyone have work-out suggestions or something like a 30 day program I can follow? I tend to get bored very quickly when it comes to workouts so sticking to them always becomes an issue.
