Have you ever been to the ER at the hospital and why?
Have you ever been to the Emergency Room in Hospital?
Have you ever been to the ER at the hospital and why?
Oh yeah, many times. I'm a very accident prone person.
Car crash (age 4)
Glass impaled into knee after falling (age 7)
Car crash (age 8)
Broken arm (age 8)
Broken shoulders after some steel fell on me (age 10)
Car crash (age 13 again?)
Shoulder caught on fire (age 14 don't ask how it's a weird story)
Sliced open my thumb so it was hanging while in the kitchen and was bleeding way too heavily (age 14)
Jellyfish sting (age 14)
Shark bite (age 15)
Mass muscle tearing in shoulders, biceps, triceps and quads (age 15)
Tearing shoulders and bicep again (age 16)
Ruptured appendix (age 16)
Yup, I've had great fun in my many years visiting the hospital, it's my second home😂
Whoops those emojis are meant to be age 8 lol
And I like to think of it as 'collecting experiences' haha but as you said, this is only ones that have sent me to the ER, I've had plenty more shit happen to me that isn't always as bad. Like when I had necrosis and a hole in my leg. Or the multiple stabs and cuts from knives on my arms and chest over the years
But reading all of this gives me a sick feeling that I'll be dead by the age of 19 at the most lol
Haha well you're right, I honestly don't care too much but that's probably because I don't feel pain like everyone else, thanks to the way my nerves developed. Like that hole I said, couldn't feel a thing even when I put my finger is ode and touched the bone.
All those stabs and cuts, barely felt anything even though I could see my skin tearing open. It'll be why I die one day, I swear haha
That's very true, people don't understand. They think it's amazing when I do something they think is painful and impossible but really Its harder in some ways since I won't be able to do the thing if I'm injured and I won't be able to tell. But it's also a bitch since people think I'm weird for not crying out for anything 'painful'
But hey, at least I can push my body to the absolute limit and do well in sports and training. Maybe that's why I can deadlift around 130kg without feeling much strain😂
Well in a way yes and no. It'll take the same amount of training as everyone else but I don't feel the same as them, I'm not sore or anything. So I can actually do more sessions than anyone else, I'll go to the gym at least 5 or 6 times a week. Can't go every day because I have race training for finals as well lol but yeah, it's easier to bulk up in the long run. So I'm mostly doing stuff just above my body weight so a majority of it is about 80-110kg while everyone else is still about 50kg
Yes, i been to the ER many times. Yes it is sad environment
so much sickness i ask myself why God allows all this suffering.
You see so many cases, people come in throwing up, a elderly
woman lived alone and her kids didn't hear from her and she
was in the ER just horrible. I had been in the ER than admitted
last year with Lower Bowel Obstruction and Acute Gastritis
( like stomach flu) All i know is i spent the night with stomach
cramps it was horrible and than go discharge to come home
and never ate well for 2 weeks afterwards.
Yeah thanks for your kindness well appreciated :/
:D :-D
:D :-)
Thanks for Most Helpful Guy :D

Good luck and Hope you are Feeling better. xx
Yup, I've been in the ER twice before.
The first time was when I was 14 following an extremely serious motor-vehicle accident. I don't remember a thing from that visit. The second time was just this past summer.

Quite a few times. Broke my hand, had a few concussions from football, injured my shoulder playing football, broke the rib cartilage off my sternum (OUCH!) playing football (theme developing😂), 2nd visit from them not properly diagnosing the ribs the first time and I noticed a dent in my ribcage, which remains to this day🙄😒, oh, and also had to get a CAT scan on my throat when... wait for it... I hurt it playing football😂, my helmet was loose and I sandwiched a teammate in practice with another teammate so it was like hitting a wall with no give, and my hard plastic chinstrap injured the cartilage in my throat. It actually clicked for a couple of years if I swallowed spit and no food or liquid🙄 All good now though, haha. I feel like there's more, but I've forgotten🤕
Yes, the worst time was after a bad car accident. Both of my ankles were completely broken, broken right leg, crushed ribs, broken nose and cheekbone... You would assume that would get you quicker treatment, but no. They cut my clothes off and laid a tiny washcloth over my junk and I laid on a bed in a hallway for quite a long time before the regular part of the hospital could take me.. People were disgusted by my feet as they were in a very unnatural position.. almost backwards.
gosh were you in pain?
@COCOCHANEL Yeah, they took blood to make sure I wasn't high on something and waited for the results before giving me anything.. At that point you are in shock, and the body can only feel so much pain. Strangely, the thing that hurt the most was my eye. It was throbbing. Like I just got punched in the face. The rest was dulled by the shock, but I could certainly feel it. I remember shivering like I was cold.. they didn't have any available blankets at the moment, which is why I got the washcloth.
i can't believe they left you like that for so long after such a terrible accident. why didn't you cry out for help?
@COCOCHANEL You are at their mercy. It was an inner city hospital. They were busy. I wasn't polite about it. I was trying to get them to give me something for the pain, but I had to wait for the blood test results.. it is just standard procedure. After they had my situation assessed, blood work was being done, x-ray la appointment set.. there wasn't much they could do but observe me. Most of that time a nurse would pop by and keep an eye on my stats, but otherwise, I sat there alone, cold in a hallway.
wow :( you poor thing. that's just terrible.
@COCOCHANEL Aww, thanks.. its cool. I wouldn't want to ever do it again, but I learned a lot from it. So it wasn't a pointless thing...
I was twice because of a tooth that fucked me over on a weekend where I couldn't to go to my normal dentist. the first time was maybe 10 years ago... I can remember that we waited for hours because there were so many people. The second time was earlier this year... I didn't find the room in the hospital, so the dentist was already waiting for me lol. Much more chill.
Other than those, I was once when I was 11 or 12 years old because I felt down the stairs pretty bad when playing at a farm with a friend.
And on my first job, on the last hour of the last day, I got hit by a sharp metal pole in my leg so I had to go too.
That's it
"A tooth that fucked me over the weekend"
Why am I imaging this guy fucking you? 😂

@akadatank44 because you love shoving your toothbrush up your ass?
Stop confusing yourself with me 😛
by the way he looks extremely happy. You must be good 😉
Loads of times. Some of them were just minor things that weren't reaaaally that important but my mother is a secretary in the A&E department so we turn up and she'll get a doctor to see me in like ten minutes. Others were a little more serious, like a broken arm or foot and I got a throat infection and a chest infection at once last year and my temperature got too high and I couldn't eat or drink so and I had fits and shit so that wasn't pleasant.
Yes I have for many reasons. Suspected broken back, wrist, arm, nose (separate occasions). And I had recently had an operation and was in immense pain and my hand was turning a different colour. Turned out they did the bandage too tight and cut off my circulation.
Two or three times for seizures. My family didn't know I had epilepsy so we kept going to find out what was wrong and then figure out what to do. Stopped after then, though my dad probably still would.
It does, but it's getting easier as we're figuring it out. 😁
Yeah, several times to visit my uncle and grandparents. Being in a hospital around sick people is such a depressing environment.
I hope you feel better soon.
I hope everything's okay with you. I was their once when this one dude punched my face and broke my nose it sucked ass.
Aye I did he punched me pretty hard the pain was incredible omfg
About three and a half years ago i was in the ER for my wisdom teeth. They were so badly infected that i could not open or close my mouth.. I was admitted that night, and i spent a week in ICU because it almost killed me. This is was before i had insurance so i avoided medical care like the black death.. God that sucked.
Too many times.
Car accidents.
Motorcycle accidents.
Assaulted.
Accompanying someone who was assaulted.
Partner wakes up in agony.
Appendicitis.
Had an injury that isn't going away.
etc
Yes
Once to get my ear stichted back on after i sliced it off... that might have been a plastic surgeon idr i was little
Once because of a long board accident where i fell and slid down the road taking all the sking off my hands, knees and some off my belly and a littleeeee of my penis (terrible i know)
And once from a skateboard accotend after i broke everyone bone in my ankle and split my fibula up the middle of the bone
None of them were fun
Yeah, I got bit by a wild mouse I tried to save from my cat when I was six and it was like seven o'clock in the evening when it happened.
My dad ws worried about rabies.
Spent 8 hours overnight in the ER to find out that mammals that small don't trasmit rabies cause the virus lays them low EXTREMELY quickly so if the mouse actually had rabies, it wouldn't have been able to bite
I'm sorry that happened to you. I PMed you to say that.
And yeah, I have. I swallowed a piece of candy which blocked my airway and almost killed me.
I know from stories that I was in an ER because of my tonsils restricting my breathing from being swollen when I was a little tot.
But actual self memories of what I can recall? I've never been.
I've been to several ERs and have learned to scope out the ERs that aren't very busy unless it's a major trauma case. That'll limit how much "noise" you have to contend with.
Too many times to count, too many reasons to list individually so let me lump it, I played sports, work on cars, have been sick, and have done a few stupid things.
Yes I had a botched root canal that was slowly killing me , turns out an infection in my gums from the root canal turned into Sepsis. After 27k I am alive and well
i've been in an ER a few times. once because of an infection, once because of a ruptured appendix and once because of an accident
A few times in the past I've had when I was really really sick from the flu. But not as of lately or recently.
I had 5 broken arms throughout my childhood. So yes.
I was a pretty rough and tumble kid.
