you're important and the way you feel and your emotions are valid, you deserve to feel good about yourself but you are allowed to feel depressed even if others have problems in their lives too, your feelings are just as important as everyone else's and you deserve to be happy
i would recommend a therapist, but if you're like me and can't afford that i can try to post things i do to cope with my anxiety and depression
-talk to a close friend, text someone you really trust and tell them you really need someone right now, if they are a good friend they will be there for you
-hug a pet, animals are wonderful friends and companions and a sure way to cheer someone up
-vent art, draw, write, sing, make a collage, write in a private journal, create something from these feelings, even if you don't think you are creative it can still help, i almost always draw vent art in my sketchbook and i always feel better after i'm done, sometimes if i'm feeling really bad i'll even rip up the page and throw it away to discard those negative feelings
-go for a walk, listen to music you love while walking to a nearby park or wherever to enjoy the sunshine
-invest time in your health and appearance, take care of yourself! change into a clean shirt that you like, have a treat, take a shower, take a nap, make yourself a healthy meal, when you suffer from depression, sometimes it gets really hard to take care of yourself, so if you try your best to take the initiative to do it anyway, you will feel better
i hope i helped, i know that there is no right way to deal with depression, but please try to remind yourself that you are important because you truly are, there is nobody just like you in the world and you are irreplaceable

Have you tried going to someone for this? And or receiving medication (depression as far as my knowledge goes is a hormonal imbalance)
You need to talk to some one. Some one can help you. I myself get depressed for a night. But then im back to happier ke. I keep tellling myself everyday, its not worth it. I write poitive notes to myself and post them around my house, on my phone, i even have my background ob the computer chsnge every 30 min to inspiring quotes. I wake up with be more positive written on my mirror. I staryed meditating, tough, but im not giving up. Im more of a negative thinker it serms. I've been changing slowly. I use to be a angry guy and lash out. Now I just get annoyed , and a lot less. We have to re program our brains. Might take long. But never give up never surrender. Surround your self with more positive people and things. Do things that make you happy. Eat healthy, sleep well, exersise helps a lot. And meditate. We have to fight our inner demons. Just know you are not alone. I get social anxiety at times, drives me crazy. But im not giving up on improving that. Good luck, hope I made sone sense.
It might not be much of an advise but I think that the best thing to do would be to keep yourself busy. Explore a new job or maybe increase your workload at work or get a job if you're unemployed. Get yourself dedicated to a cause.
For example I set myself a goal to read all the books from the song of ice and fire series until season 7 of game of thrones comes out.
You have to keep that mind busy with something otherwise it will venture in dark thoughts.

Start surrounding your self with what makes you feel comfortable. You like something, like a hobby, if not find something you could try and like. Read books (random), block the technology from your mind few hours a day and figuer something about anything you care about or like. failing is good , so you know what not to do in the next step. build your own bubble and then extand it. Learn more about the thing you like and slowly your mind will be full with energy instead of other things. It's falls season, make your own relaxing music and take a walk, it's wonderful out there.
What your doing is a good starting point. Your showing you want to get better and be in a better mood. Talk to someone, a close friend or family. If that is to hard for you talk to a doctor.
Same here... depression has taken a toll on me. The only thing that helps me is going for long ass walks and listening to music

I've thought about reaching for my fighting knife on more than one occasion, one quick jab and enter the lightthese people don't care about you... I promise that... you COULD off yourself... but much better to redirect that energy towards those who have hurt you.
