Also anyone know of any of any websites that have good at home workouts that I could start with before joining a gym?
Anything helps! Thanks.
A persons weight is determined by a pretty simple equation. If you take in more calories then you use you gain weight. If you take in less calories then you use, you lose weight. So the only way to lose weight is to take in less calories, burn more calories, or both.
For the taking in less calories part... try eating low calorie snacks instead of the Ben & Jerrys and ding dongs. You'd be amazed at how good an apple, a raw carrot with salt, some nice radishes, a handful of almonds, or some other fruit or vegetable can taste once you get in the habit. It fills you up and you can eat pretty much all you want (except the nuts). If you get in the habit of eating these things, even once a day, it will replace at least some of the high calorie binges and you will reduce your intake enough to lose weight.
The exercise part is also a habit. But it's harder to develop that habit. You have to really want to do it. I recommend NOT joining a gym but just doing it at home. By the time you get dressed and ready and then drive to the gym, it's already a time consumer that most people can't handle. Start off with FIVE MINUTES a day of just simple stuff like streaching and maybe a little running in place. If you can't do 5 minutes then you will know that the barrier is psychological, not physical. Working out is a frame of mind... it's not fancy equipment or a fancy gym. You have to develop the habit.
Best of luck! :)
1. Low carb diet is initially a big change but cravings disappear after a few days and you can avoid as much as you want as long as you avoid carbs.
2. Set small weight loss goals. Instead of setting your target at 125, make your initial target 142.
3. Don't try to exercise at the same time you start dieting; it is too much all at once. Promise yourself that you will start exercising when you reach 142.
4. Tell several friends that you are dieting and ask them to inquire frequently about your progress. Use peer pressure in a positive way!
5. Start buying some clothes that you can wear after you lose weight and stop buying clothes that fit you now.
I'm close to your weight right now and am 5'4
What I've read up on is that many people are doing this weight loss hack of drinking Apple cider vinegar, mixed with lemon or honey to help dilute it since it's very acidic. I've noticed just a little change when I've done it, but I'm not so sure since I also do cardio at least every other day. So, you may want to look into that, just search it on YouTube and there are many women who give testimonies to it.
You may want to look into foods that are extremely low in calories. There's a "rice" brand I found called Better than Rice. It has three servings and each of those servings are only 15 calories, compare that to a cup of race is that's probably 200 calories. I bought one of those before and mixed the rice with talipia. It was about a 300-calorie dish. There's also carbquik and Dukan diet products tha are high in fiber, which you need to be full, but also pretty decent in calories

They also say aroma therapy can work. If you have an essential oil diffuser, they say lemon, grapefruit, and peppermint oil help suppress appetite. Just becuase careful in buying the true essential oils as many are severely diluted with unknown stuff.
Don't go grocery shopping while hungry. You'll end up buying the crap you crave lol.
Drink water. Cut out all the sugary drinks like soda or juice (if u drink that).
Walk everywhere if you can. Take the stairs rather the elevator, etc.
Make a routine of working out. Same time, same day, etc. You'll get used to it.
Find a workout you like doing. It'll make it more fun to you. For me, it was running. Then I later got into lifting and enjoy that a lot as well.
I don't know, lost over 50 lbs so far. That's basically how I did it. But everyone is different.
lol that's a great idea! Thanks :)

It maybe a cliche answer but as a professional it's really the best one I can give, do proper and consistent diet and exercise.
And you don't need to say no to food just say no to the wrong food, and find healthy but tasty alternatives to the junk food and drinks you'd normally consume. In fact I encourage you to eat, you need to meet your bodies daily dietary needs specifically healthy fats, protein and then carbs.
Just make sure the food you eat is healthy. Like instead of drinking soda, juice some fruit or make a healthy smoothy, instead of candy eat dried dates which is a healthy fruit that taste like candy but is known as the food of the gods for a very good reason.
Or crystallized ginger sweetened with raw cane sugar which taste good and in addition to helping your digestive system and getting rid of stomach aches is pretty good for you. You can also eat nuts, trail mix and other stuff.
But the most important thing is do not diet/stave yourself that will not work and will have the opposite effect in addition to being detrimental to your body and dangerous to your health. Just eat right but do not say no to food.

Just join a gym, https://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/find-a-plan.html use this guide to determine the best workout for you. Go, use the bodybuilding. com app to track yourself, it's got a community for people that need it, and rep trackers for people that don't care about the community. Quit being so insecure and just get the damn gym. Nothing will change unless you make it happen.
All you need is a good workout routine and portion control. I love cooking especially desserts so I often will gain weight one year when it's a stressful year but then I'll lost it in under 3 months. I've never been on a diet before but I've lost 60 pounds in two months before even with eating ice cream and caramel. It's all about how much you eat and how much you work out. Buy smaller plates, drink as much water as you can especially around meals, and with out for 30 minutes a day 5 days a week pushing yourself hard. Try to take Wensday and Sunday off or something similar. That's all stuff I've done to lose weight fast.
Well, for diet, protein is key. It'll fill you up and helps burn calories. Walk as much as you can; find a nature area with trails, or even a park. Walk at the mall. Park far out at the store and walk. Drink as much water and low calorie fluids as you can. You'll see those pounds fly off fast.
I ate 6 times a day to lose the weight. I am also 5'4". My trick into not eating much of the junk stuff if to eat a huge salad before lunch and then I eat of of those Lean Cuisines or Smart ones. I do the same for dinner. They have 100 calorie desserts to that you can use as snacks. For breakfast I had a bowl of Cheerios with skim milk and fruit. So, it's 3 meals and 3 snacks. For exercises, the best is cardio so do jumping jacks or skip rope.
I search 30-60min workouts on youtube type in walk a mile in your home... these easy workouts will pop up & there soo fun, I've been doing it for the past 3 weeks 2X a day, Then I've been eating chicken, fish, veggies, beans, apples & bananas only. I've also been taking these multi vitamin gummies called 1 a day healthy metabolism support. Speeds up my metabolism and gives me great energy i work out in the morning and afternoon everyday so far i lost 17 pounds in 3weeks! Hope this helped hope you suceed in losing weight good luck :)
A good tips for girl :Wake up in morning , take a bite of some chocolate, as it helps prevent the dreaded insulin spike, which is famed for shuttling sugar straight into your fat cells and it also reduce your stress.
Trying eating more fruit and drink green tea for 3/2 times a day with cut your weight down for 2 pounds a week. And make sure you do not eat for 3-4 hours before bed.
Stay Healthy!
Don't do diet!!
Eat healthy, like vegetables and fruit. Don't stop esating things like chocolate and stuff.
You could have a few treats, obviously not like a whole bag of fries or something like that.
Also, serve your lunch on a smaller plate, that way your mind thinks that you're eating more, and you feel satisfied. You can try and eat with your non-dominant hand, like if your righthanded eat with your left, that way your eat slower.
Good luck! (:
You should take care of your most prominent issue with eating.
You can't just say no.
You have to replace bad food with better food, ideally before you feel all that hungry.
The hungrier you feel the more likely you are to make bad choices.
Use myfitnesspal by UA. Build your profile set goals log in all you eat.
