I worked on an organic farm for a while. So I guess I believe it. It was a small farm that sold "you-pick-it" to anyone who stopped by, sold at the farmer's market, and a very small amount to local grocery stores.
I don't eat it though, unless the cost is close to the non-organic cost. If there is any health benefit to it, it's probably minimal.
Also, in the big picture, there is no choice. Even with modern farming techniques, including use of pesticides and herbicides, it's highly debatable if the world population can be fed. Without those techniques, it's certain that the population can't be fed. So it's a choice between non-organic foods, or mass starvation.

A lot of the marketing is BS and people pay a premium for stuff they're not going to get any benefit from. But with something like milk or other dairy products, even if organic dairy products aren't actually better for us, there's still indirect benefits to supporting that process like to avoid contributing to the overuse of antibiotics in livestock, which can have other negative effects down the road.
As a geneticist, "Organic" means no pesticide use. That doesn't mean that it's not GMO. It needs to say both "organic" & "non-GMO" for it to be both. GMOs are vastly misunderstood. If they were the same price, I'd buy organic. But really, you could just wash the non organic stuff.
i hope it's true. however, it does feel better in a way. i can't really afford it right now, but if i could i would buy it.
