To know if you have a healthy weight there are 3 formulas:
For females is (height in centimeters minus 45) divided in two.
For males under 170 cm (height in centimeters minus 40) divided in two.
For males 170 and above (height in centimeters minus 35) divided in two.
For example:
My height in cm is 174.
175-45=129
129/2=64.5
64.5 kg would be my ideal weight.
If you are 5 kg above or 5 kg below the ideal weight, don't worry, you're still inside the healthy range.
Continuing with my example, my weight can be between 59.5 kg and 69.5 kg. My current weight is 60 kg, so I'm still inside the range.
What about you, are you in the ideal range?
The purpose of the formula is to calculate how much you should eat, and not what your weight should be.
The ideal weight is different to the real healthy weight.
