I want to do the weights but I'm clueless on what to do, correct form, all that stuff. I don't have anyone to go with and I'm terrified of going alone and making a fool of myself.

If you go to a good gym, you can ask a program. They will make one that fits your needs as a beginner.
you'll get help from your coach over there... tbh i'd like to join a gym too... but can't afford rn

Focus on cardio and light weights.
You don't really need to bodybuild like a man.
I recommend googling female exercises.Gyms have trainers and coaches. Just go. It will all work out.
They should have a female trainers or coaches that teaches you, just ask for advice.
