Why does my voice sound different when I'm sick?

I'm not sick rn but when I do get sick, people always ask "are you okay?" "are you sick or something?" "you sound weird."

Because often we get some sort of throat infection which will change the sound of your voice

Your nose is jammed and you have mucus everywhere so yeah you will sound different

Some people can be sick and it will effect their voice. It could be due to weakness from being sick too. It could be part of the sickness.

Well I guess I'm one of the unfortunate ones. I sound terrible and I sound terrible also if I yell or talk to loudly.

well I'm not a Doctor so I can't explain why it happens. but i know it does

could be , but i know just a cold will do it, and the flu is worse
