How do I get my boyfriend to get a better job?

My boyfriend has been looking for a better paying job for almost three months now. Or at least he says he has. He does a lot of work at home, he is a writer (which is not making any money at the moment) and has a website to upkeep and claims he is always very busy. Every time I ask him how his job search is going, all I get are excuses. What should I do?

I have a cousin who has a deadbeat boyfriend.cant hold a job for more than 2 months!

now she has 2 babies, and HER FATHER is supporting her.I warned her many times to dump the jerk, she had a future, she was going to be a model, college, now she is overweight and a dropout!

Unless he is living off of you, I wouldn't worry about it. He has to find his own job using his own ambition.

If he is living with you, then I would give him a deadline to get a job or get out.
