I need help shrinking some shirts that are too big for me.

Hey, I need to shirt some shirts that are a size Large down to a size medium or small. Only thing is they have those plastic logo things on them and I don't want to ruin it! I can NOT by a new one because they are school shirts for color guard as part of our uniform. One shirt was a gift from some people to us that we all got and also I just don't have money to replace them. What should I do? They are really big on me and don't look quit right. =( Everyone else's are fitted because I guess they know how to wear clothes. I always am scared that something will shrink so I get them big. And I have body issues and tend to think I'm fat so I like baggy clothes. but it doesn't look good when they are really baggy. Help me please...

What concerns me is the logos on the shirts. If they're made of cotton, turn them inside out, put them in the washer on the delicate cycle and use warm water for washing and rinsing. When they're done, put them in the dryer on medium heat and check them periodically so the logos aren't damaged. They will shrink in the washer during the spin mode because of the fibers. The heat from the dryer will help too.

There are some good youtube videos showing how you can cut your shirts and restitch them to make them more fitted. You can also wash them in hot water and then put them in the dryer on the hot setting and that should shrink them a little.
