I think people should strive to be as fit as possible.
Understand though, that there is a major difference between fit and thin.
An example:
My last year in the Army, there was a girl who I was seeing who was in another unit of the same occupation (job for you civilians) as I on base. She had a tall build for a girl (stood 5'9"), had 38-28-34 measurements, was fit and yes was a complete knock out.
Some guys I worked with after a PT test were going on and on about women should weigh a maximum of 113 lbs (I don't know why they settled on this exact number) and not an ounce over.
I had a digital scale in my room. As I was making my points to these flawed thinking fellows, I called her up and asked if she could come over in PT attire and weigh herself in front of some guys who are convinced they know what they are talking about concerning women's physical stats. Being the super cool gal she was, she came over during our lunch break, and weighed herself in front of these knuckles and what did the scale reveal you ask?
Not 105, not 110, not even 113.
Nope, instead it revealed the magic number: 141.3 lbs.
I then went on to explain that in order for a woman to have the "full feel" body parts they were refering to, she would have to weigh significantly more than 115 lbs. And that the reason that Playboy models weighed whatever silly numbers they were refering to, was because the body parts that made are synthetic and don't have the same weight as human mass. Consequently, those synthetic parts don't have the same feel period.
I then posed the question, which would you rather grab a hold of in the middle of sex?
As they looked dumbfounded, I stated "Tell you what, get out of my room, and I'll come back down in about two hours and let you know what your answer is."
So please, by all means be fit. Run, lift weights, and yes that includes the girls, and eat a balanced diet. But the super thin thing that doesn't want to go away is a nonsensical opinion that some fashion desginer overseas made popular, and he sucks for it. His clothes had to "look" a certain way on the runway was the explanation. I think the guy just hated women.
As far as you specifically, I'd need to see photo to actually give an opinion. I'm sure you're fine though, so don't worry about it.
Now if only I married that girl.

i think there are actually some people who look better as being a bit chubby, I don't know about the guys but to me a girl that's too skinny ain't all that pretty, I mean what's there to hug with all the bones sticking out?
but personally overweight in my opinion is anyone where you can see like the flabs, I mean w/e just don't wear tight clothes but when you can actually see the folds on the back I'm sorry but that ain't sexy. or like today I saw an obese woman with a mini skirt. once again sorry but please don't rape my eyes that way (so ye in terms of attraction it does matter what you wear). but those are extremes, if you are that fat then you should be more concerned about your health than how you look> you should check out your link
it's how they say, if you love yourself, so if YOU think you are not fat, then you are confident and that is what people see, but if you are self-conscious then they might notice a bit of blub.
personally I think no matter your weight, in order to be attractive you should try to keep your upper arms (the whole bat wings look, not cool with tanktops) and belly toned, and do some squats to keep your thighs tight, it doesn't have to be perfect just not exactly hanging there.
Fit and healthy is good for us and our bodies, but aiming to be stick thin is not. I would like and am trying to lose about half a stone of bad weight but my weight has increased a lot through muscle gain and toning up but my measurements stayed the same (before the extra half a stone). At a UK size 12 I was happy with my body so I just need to get back there now. But health and fitness really should really be in the forefront of our minds, unfortunately for most (incl me) its not its appearance, acceptance and other peoples views.
But I still say men prefer a bit too get hold of, most do not like the heroin/boyish/stick insect look (as far as I know)

it depends on your body type and how you carry your weight. some people look better with a little meat on their bones and some look better slimmer. you can never go wrong with being fit though
