Why do people develop faster now??

I don't understand! Nowadays, with the latest generation, people at around 12 to 14 are already at the mental level of people who are now around 18. The world is now faster, and so is the development of people. But how is this possible?

(Fun sidenote, it's not just the mental development. Even girls at 14 look more mature than they used to be. It's weird.)

I wouldn't say people around the ages of 12-14 have the same mental levels of 18 year olds, but in terms of looking older, I'd attribute that to clothes and makeup. At least back when I was in middle school, parents didn't really allow their kids to dress in such skimpy ways, but nowadays it seems like parents are less restrictive on their kids. I mean, I've seen an 8 year old with a cell phone.

I work at the mall part time and I see a lot of 12-16 year old girls, they're not maturing faster, they just think they're maturing faster. They look more developed because they're getting bigger than girls before them. But make no mistake, mentally they're still 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 years old...they just happen to think they're as mature as the average 25 year old

I don't think people are maturing any faster mentally than they have in the past. If anything they mature more slowly in that respect, largely because life is easier now than it was in the past.

Physically, people are maturing faster (especially girls) because of the high fat content in their diet. It triggers puberty at an earlier age.

It's probably the steroids they give cows to make them bigger or help them produce more milk. "You know parents always say drink your milk so you can grow up to be big and strong."? Well maybe they left out the part where you will grow up faster because of it?

It's all the hormones they put in the food.

Yeah that's my guess too for the physical aspect. :O

Then why does the world seem stupider? Yeah, I said stupider..

Because we are "old-fashioned" and don't see how they are the new era with a huge amount of opportunities, abilities and talents which are way beyond average human capacity. What we currently find immoral (f.ex. premarital sex, early dating, etc.) are all concepts that we cling to for no reason other than our beliefs that "this is right", which was never justified to begin with.

And also, the media and education thrive to get people below the standards in IQ so they can be led like sheep.
