Ive never had to lose weight but I am pretty thin without trying. I never really thought I had a special technique, but I know that I love movement of most kinds & I am sure to full my days with things I am passionate about most of which are comprised of lots of movement. I actually have a list of ten hobbies or activities I love& I keep it there till the next week and put a new one up and I try to do at least 5 things from my list each day.
I'd say first & foremost before you focus on weight or food per se. Think of a bunch of things you like to do or even better fell OBLIGATED to do. Work on your curiosity and sense of obligation, take a few days or weeks to really walk around go out open your eyes and write down things you think you'd like to try or get better at or learn to do etc, google is your friend in this case, what you should do is work on replacing food with things that fill you up spiritually. its awesome that you realize what you are doing- often people have to pay a therapist to tell them they are replacing objects for earthly connections,
Spend more time connecting with nature people, think of yourself in how you want to be & keep that vision in your mind, Keep yourself to busy to eat too much & set yourself a limit, not a weight loss limit but I limit of food so you don't replace,
oh sorry! I gotta go but pm me if you like :-)

Jesus. I spoke to a friend about this last night. You lack love, or affection. Anyone who lacks love/affection substitutes it by some other drug - food, cigarettes, hard drugs, sex, sports etc.
Does your family love you enough? Your friends? Do you have a boyfriend who loves you?.. You are stress-eating; and eating out of emotional purposes. I'm really sorry to hear this :( .. But I hope what I just told you will help you deal with your problem and allow you to see the root of it.. And I wish that your peer group will also start loving you more (or showing it).
Eat small portions throughout the day, snack in between meals, and do a little cardiovascular exercise every few days and you'll be fine.
Snacking in between meals will keep the rate at which you metabolize food up.
Try not to eat right before you go to sleep, because when you go to sleep your metabolism seems to slow down.
