Why do guys like twig like skinny girls that wear way too much makeup?

So. I'm a sophomore in high school. I'm skinny, but curvy. I wear a little bit of make up, I have zero acne, and I'm really fun and talkative. and guys will only tell me I'm pretty in private. And my good friend is twig like, with absolutely no curves, has completely obviously dyed hair, she wears WAY too much makeup, has loads of acne on her face, looks anorexic, doesn't even have a pretty face,and announces every time she has sex. All of the guys at my school think she is the hottest thing that has ever touched the planet, when she looks like a trashy whore. Why? Should I try to be skinnier like her?

its all about attitude and confidence, girl.. it doesn't mean you have to act like anybody you know who is confident..

think about it for a second.. if you don't love yourself, why would anybody else love you?

but on a more practical sense, think about it like this, people wear make up, change their hair color and dress a certain way they do, because they want to. and you may think this is bullsh*t, but since these people are happy in their appearence they have more time to focus on other things such as communication with other people.

even though they might like her because they know she's easy to lay, they also probably like her for who she is, and the fact that she is comfortable with who she is..

some people tend to have a more alluring personality than others, but don't be jealous, you are young, and you will get your fill of boys chasing after you.

You say she is a good friend but look at what you just said about her. Maybe she is pretty so what it seems like your jealous. Let her be her if boys like her then so be it. You will find someone someday that likes you for you. I'm really skinny and I eat some girls are like that don't bad talk about her just because boys aren't that into you god. And some boys are just after one thing so its saving you really.

If she really is as ugly and disgusting as you make her seem, then maybe guys just think she's hot BECAUSE of the fact she has sex with anything that moves. Maybe you should ask her how she gets guys' attention (other than being a "trashy whore"), since she is just such a good friend of yours.

I doubt your friend is as bad as you describe.

Styles are a weird thing & as a teenager you are literally in a Lord of the Flies world so don't let it get to you.

Also, guys seem to go for makeup-wearing girls because most girls out there wear lots of it these days. It's pop culture, they aren't doing it because that's what every guy on the planet wants to see.

Your friend sounds like the hooker on the corner, addicted to coke, and uses a shotgun to put her make up on. And has poor hygiene.

They're attracted to her "easyness." Not particularly to her looks, or her as a person.
