Yes I did.I went through puberty at 8/9,so I began developing pimples on my forehead in 4th grade and for a while,it was simply pimples on the forehead. Then around 5th grade came oily skin and blackheads on and around my nose as well as large pores.
Towards the end of 5th grade I started getting cystic acne and scarring so I was put on Retin-A(Extremely strong) and it worked...for a while. My first day of 6th grade my skin was super smooth and clear...then about 6 weeks after school started, the Retin-A seemed to actually burn my skin and the scars, making them more noticeable. So my mom told me to stop using it,she took me to the doctor and they put me on Differin & an antibiotic and that didn't do anything,so they put me non another antibiotic,it did nothing.
Fast forward to 10th grade.I'd done enough research to know what exactly I needed to combat the pimples and oil,so I created my own routine and it started working well...but then I complained to my mom about my oily skin and after she bought my expensive foundation and powder for oily/acne prone skin, she realized it was at a point of no control.Soooo, she scheduled an appt with my sisters former dermatologist, only to learn he'd retired but still ran the offices and she scheduled with the new dermatologist and he's one of the best in Tx...he prescribed Accutane for 6 months,Epiduo and of course I had to go on birth control and the ladies in the front told my mom I should probably stay on it.
My acne was hereditary. My sister had to be on Accutane too.My mom had to use Retin-A for acne when she was younger.
I spent A LOT of money on OTC-skin care products and systems,I even bought ProActiv(which didn't work btw,but the mask is amazing)
So Accutane & Epiduo worked for me.And I'm currently on Yaz
Ugh.
-I've had bad acne up til high school, but now it's calmed down a bit. It's not too bad now...
-I have many different birthmarks on my body including my giant one on my left boob. Some relatives mentioned it gets bigger each year...great.
-I was recently diagnosed with keratosis pilaris. Google it. Also, know that it's very itchy and sucks.
-My skin is very sensitive to many things like metals. I'm allergic to nickel, so I have to cover my pants' metal button thingies with duck tape. I also can't wear costume jewelry...so I wear 14K + gold [ which are pricey ! ].
So yea...I think that covers just about everything wrong with my skin...
Yeah, some acne. My beard covers it up pretty good, but still. My doctor tried to comfort me when I was 20 or so, saying that he had acne until he was 30. Big comfort.
My tip for guys with oily skin? Rubbing alcohol. Apply twice a day, evaporates moisture and hardens your skin so that you get fewer bumps when you shave. It's been a trade secret for decades among veteran hikers, since applying it hardens our feet so that we don't blister as easily on hikes. Works a lot the same on a man's face, skin hardens and you don't get red bumps as easily after shaving.
So booze your chin morning and evening, and soap up when you shower. Buy an oil-free moisturiser for when your skin starts flaking on your cheekbones, especially in winter.
PS. If you think rubbing alcohol is extreme, you should see my old drill instructor. If his skin got too soft, he'd rub his face down with fine-grained sandpaper to harden up. Mad old coot.
When I started going through puberty, I would get pimples. I never bad the really bad, rash-looking acne, I only ever had just "normal" acne. I can't remember exactly how long I had it for, but around the 8th grade or freshman year of high school was when it stopped. I don't have any problems now, but I never had "problems" with it before either. I'll occasionally get a sore spot on my face but it is few and far in between. I shower daily and wash my face with plain old body soap because I'm lazy and my face is just fine.
Maybe I just scored lucky on the genes though :)

I get a few spots here and there, especially when I'm hormonal, if you know what I mean =/. Anyways, I use these 0.5% Salicylic acid wipes every night before bed, and I also cleanse my face in the shower before that. I've found that the wipes work really well at evening my skin tone, tightening my pores and stop me from breaking out, though I do get the ocassional bump still, but overall it does the job. Also another thing I use, usually on a weekly basis is a peel off mask. I do that usually on a sunday, just to clear my pores of anything that's built up over the week.
I've been likey never had to worry about that. Maybe a couple here and there when I was 16 but after that never...
Whats weird is my brother had a big problem with it so I guess diet is not a huge factor cus we grew up on the same food... guess its just genes...
I think he uses that proactive stuff ... helps him a bit...
Actually I lucked out and never really had to deal with acne. It started to affect me a little when I was around 19/20, but link takes care of that sh*t in no time so I'm usually pimple free. Every once in a while one will creep through, at which point I just remove it manually.
I never had acne. I get the occasional spot every now and again. Since I have been using Witch Naturally Clear products I haven't had one spot in like 5months : )
link That's my favourite
When I was younger I had some. I don't think I've ever had it really bad though. My friend does. He uses special prescription stuff to deal with it and it keeps his skin clean :P I hate when it's on the back or chest or somewhere really annoying though.
yes I had bad acne once in high school. I don't remember the exact products that I used but they worked for me. My skin looked healthy back then. When I moved to a different place, my skin became worse. Currently am using black opal(facial scrub) and I use acne soap. It does work though not the way I want it to. I will be going to see a dermatologist next month to get my skin checked out.
I've always had to deal with it. Sucks.
Right now my doc has me use topical solutions (I said I didn't want to take birth control)
I wash with Seb-Prev (Sodium Sulfacetamide 10%)
Then follow up with Ziana (clindamycin phosphate 1.2% and tretinoin .025%) gel
I have very very minor acne, which should clear up when I stop being a teenager, you know. But I've got horrible cysts on my chest - that's caused by diabetes. Its disgusting, like, it is. I call them mutations.
I suffered with acne in high school like id say senior year that was basically it but it wasn't extreme just like little bumps, it kind of made me self conscious a bit those times but now thank goodness its finally gone ^_^
I had some of the usual acne as a teen, nothing terrible. Whenever I would get really stressed out, I always got a zit to go with it. I used to get acne from eating oily foods, but since I don't eat bad stuff anymore, that is not a problem anymore.
Every once in a while, but not very often. I just use clean and clear every morning, put on a little moisturizer and I'm good : )
No I have not. Thank god for good genetics :)lol. But I do use different facial cleaning scrubs to make sure I don't get any.
I had problems with it when I was 15 up to 18. I'm getting better at controlling it now. Birth control also helps with that.
never had a pimple in my 16 years of life. (: *knocks on wood*
No during puberty there were days I had a few spots, but I never got acne my skin is clear
I have a skin condition (keratosis pilaris) on my arms, but I don't think my skin is all that bad. I don't do anything. I don't really worry about it.
Join the club -.-
Yes, I totally did. I did some online research, and just ate organic yogurt and put yogurt on my face for 5 min every day. This greatly helped and even made my skin look healthier/younger.
Nope..just one or two pimple that usually appear and dissappear on my face..
one thing I'm thankful for id I've always had clear skin , :P
