My biggest tips are to focus on eating plants and animals, not anything in a box, and nothing with weird chemicals. Cut back on salt and sugar as much as you can. Cook at home as much as you can. If you eat out, order a salad with protein.
Protein is really important, keeps you full, keeps muscle, raises metabolism, gives you energy.
If I had to point to one thing, I would say cut back on sugar and flour. In addition would be salt and trans fats. That pretty much removes 90% of processed foods.
I'm more of a fan of eliminating or reducing bad foods, than counting calories, but I know weight watchers works for a lot of ppl, because the point system encourages them to eat more real food. But I mean if someone wanted a salad that went over their points, I don't think they should skip it, so that's my beef with WW.
Just make sure you never go hungry or you'll end up binging or craving junk food. Allow yourself a treat like once a week so you don't feel deprived.
It's way better to fill up on things like eggs, lean proteins, and veggies than to stay under a certain amount of cals on less healthy foods. Of course, people can even lose on junk food diets, but it's not very healthy and very hard to stick to.
And last, but certainly not least, drink lots of water and unsweetened green and herbal tea.
Good Luck! You can do it!

Good for you!
130 pounds is a very healthy goal. Losing 85 pounds will take a long time, but it's so worth it. I'm glad you're smart enough to do it the RIGHT way.
Average weight loss through diet and exercise is 1-2 pounds per week. If you lose 1.5 pounds per week, it'll take you about 57 weeks (85 divided by 1.5), which is a little over a year! Sounds discouraging, but my advice is to set smaller goals for yourself as well, instead of thinking so big and possibly becoming overwhelmed. For example, first focus on getting under 200. Then 190, 180, 170, etc.
Your goal of 130 lbs. is great but one thing you'll learn with a weight loss journey is to not focus on the end product and rather the journey just win the day and before you know it those "winning" days will add up. Another good tip would be don't just do cardio probably the biggest mistake you can make combine that with resistance training or weight lifting. Belief me you will not get "huge" girls do not produce enough testosterone to achieve that look. also with cardio your resting metabolism rises only for 24 hours with weight lifting it rises for 48 hours. if you have anymore questions just give me a holler.
Good for you! Stick with it and don't let anything sway you from your goal. Once you achive it, your life will be so much improved, you won't know how you ever put up with the former.

Between my freshman and sophomore years in high school, I lost a lot of weight. I started gradually, so I don't remember for sure when, but I started taking it seriously as soon as school got out. I mostly just cut back my portion sizes and tried to get more vegetables. I was having some pretty serious health problems related to my weight. As soon as those went away, I got a lot more active. I spent a lot of time outdoors--going for walks, riding bikes, etc. Closer to the end of summer, I began doing like sit ups and push ups every day. I gradually increased the amount. By the time my school, started in the middle of August, I was down to 145. I had started out at 220, so I had lost 75 pounds in maybe 3-4 months.
The more obese you are, the easier and healthier it is for you to take off a lot of weight because they are just pounds of extra fat. However, at some point, your body will even out and you will stop losing weight. My suggestion is to keep being healthy and watching that you don;t gain it back, but don't try to lose any more. I did and I spent years dealing with an eating disorder. Also, diet pills are very unhealthy and a bad idea.
Just don't over do it, and good luck!Well, most people will say that a weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week is healthy. I wouldn't try to lose it too fast. Because you want to be able to maintain and such a drastic change in lifestyle and weight can be hard to keep up. I know this from experience, but if you take baby steps you will reap the rewards for a lifetime! Good for you for wanting to get healthier, I need to lose some weight myself. The best thing you can do is to introduce some more healthy options in your diet and ease into an exercise routine. Do whatever you enjoy first, than add stuff as you go along. You will start to see results in a month or so :)
To lose 85 pounds, probably at least a year, I wouldn't try to lose it all in a couple months, that is just too fast and it's hard to lose weight and keep it off if you lose it really quickly. I know you probably want to look great right away but ease into it, and you will be able to maintain it.1. no fast foods, soda, sugar
2. fruits, vegetables, protein
Walmart has huge cans of fruits for under $2.00 with tax, chicken breast strips, salad mix bags
3. healthy fats aka olive oil
Big Lots $5 for 32 oz
4. cardio then strength training
12 minutes of jump rope
5. yoga, pilates, tai chi every day 2x to boost metabolism
6. green tea or green tea pills to boost metabolism
7. exercise in waist trimmers, leg/arm trimmers to reduce the look of saggy skinAlso, you may end up with a bit of extra skin, but you will not be losing enough weight for it to be super noticeable. The only places I have extra is on my neck and a little on my arms, but you can only see it when I grab it and stretch it out. Most of it shrank back in over time.
Changing your body that much will f*** you up badly.
