so I'm 20 and never been to a girls and guys mixed party or a party with alcohol.. what have I been missing out on? :(

Alright, so the majority of the answerers so far are idiots. The only people who find them dramatic are your typical drama queen girls, and they cause their own drama, you won't have to deal with it. As for alcohol, if you and your friends are around the 20 year age bracket then you should well and truly be able to handle your alcohol by now. Some people act like d***heads when they first start going to parties because they haven't drank before and it just makes them annoying. I was annoying too when I first drank at 13 or 14. But, at your age they should have a few years experience and you'll have a lot of fun with a few drinks. Also, it depends on where you live, because certain countries are better at drinking and handling alcohol than others.
As for the mixed genders thing... I don't really know what you're asking about there, it's the same as if it were all guys.. You go to a party and hang out with your friends. If your group of friends happens to include girls, then yay you'll hang out with girls to.. If not, you might meet some girls and make new friends or whatever. There's really nothing to explain about that. In fact the only reason I clicked your question was cause I was wondering if you meant that non-mixed parties existed. I've never been to one myself.

My part-time job provides me a 3rd person view on everything that goes down during these gatherings, they range from house parties to formal events. I can tell you that you aren't missing much.
Basically, everyone is just as "boring" as you, only they compensate by chugging a little too much liquid courage (booze) to loosen up. When the party music is blaring, people are just yelling and acting a fool. This is definitely something to experience once in a while, but it's not like these frequent party-goers were born with "super exciting" genes. It's all booze and letting thoughts roll off the tip of your tongue. Oh, and the food is delicious.
Are there hook-ups? Not as many as you think. Are there parties filled with nothing but horny college students dry humping each other and hooking up? Yeah, but if you think that sleazy, drunk hook-ups will make your life complete, you ought to reconsider your goals. I can't think of one scenario where I'd look back 10 years and say "I'm glad I drunkenly banged that cute sorority girl and contracted that STD... the day she called and said she had a miscarriage still gives me butterflies!"
Parties with alcohol are just nasty cesspits of retardedness and loss of self respect. I've been to one and haven't touched a drink, and just watched the people. People just turn into nasty animals, and you sit there and watch them do things they will positively regret. You're missing out on NOTHING

It depends on the party you go to, but if its a invite everyone, even off the side of the street that you just met then...Stupid drunks, sluts, fights, drama, and if your not the one drunk off your ass, entertainment

nothing much they are just as the same as any other hangout, how much fun you have depends on many of the people there are your friends, really they are kind of monotenous (f*** I know I spelled that wrong) but yeah I stoped going my first semester in college, there are two reasons to go get laid, and get drunk, college kids only buy crappy bear so I rather just enjoy my tequila or wisky and I have a girlfriend so there was no point in my going, but I do recommend going at the beginning of the year in college even if you are straight edge because it is a good way to meet people
