Do I have to have a six pack for girls to turn their heads at me?

I consider myself to be a little above average looking. I have a good face and I'm only like 5 pounds overweight. I don't have six pack and most of the time I'm conflicted on whether I should take off my shirt or not at the pool. I just want to know if maybe a girl would be interested in my looks as of right now, or if she would want me to improve before a relationship would be possible.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the six pack, muscled, chisled guys. I would prefer my guy to be a little softer. :-) I suppose it's partly because I'm also on the softer side, but it's also because I just don't find exsessive muscle to be that attractive. Just like I don't usually find the really skinny, beanpole guys to be super attractive. There are exceptions to both of these, though. I guess I'm oten attracted to a guy that just looks kind of... solid... if that makes any sense. You sound fine to me!

Well, it's a relief that some girls don't expect a six pack. I'm trying for it though. I guess I'm a little to worried about my looks. I do workout everyday, but I guess there will be that girl right for me out there somewhere right?

Don't be so worried! A girl should want to be in a relationship with you because of who you are and how well you click, etc. etc., not on the basis of you having a 6 pack or not; a girl like that will be shallow and not worth your time. The right girl for you will like you despite your insecurities. That being said, I personally think it's silly for you to not want to take your shirt off at the pool. Confidence is sexy!

If tomorrow every girl refuses to appreciate a guy with a six-pack,I'd still have it because I LIKE IT

I have a six pack and I never seen a girl looking at me when I'm at a pool or swimming some where. Although I rarely swim, I suppose girls like the look of it but its kind of just like a bonus if they already like you and I doubt it would get any extra girls interestead in you.

No, 6 pack doesn't matter but confidence does. That said, just make sure there's nothing flabby, no one likes beer guts. Just exercise and gain more confidence, you can't expect people to be happy with your looks if you aren't happy with yourself first.

Thanks for the advice. I don't have a beer gut or any gut. By stomach is flat and nothing hangs over. It's just that my abs don't show that much. Basically you could only see the top two, which I find really embarrasing.

I like muscular arms...don't have to be super toned or anything...just big and strong. A guy who is too toned makes me self conscious about my body.
