1. Stay under 1200 calories a day
2. Stay away from high fat & high sugar foods
3. Drink lots of water

7. Take vitamins (dieting is also exhausting you need energy, I suggest: fish oil, & a multi-vitamin)

Instead of walking the mile you could jog it or run it. Also try only drinking water/milk and cutting out soft drinks as much as you can. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and less unhealthy snacks. Try doing ab work outs/cardio/agility training etc you can find different work-outs you can do at home online.(:
