If you were offered a free dinner at a seafood restaurant tonight what would you order? If you don't like seafood you don't have to answer.

Lobster / crab

Prawn / shrimp / scampi / langoustine / crawfish

Shellfish (e.g. mussels, clams, scallops, geoduck, oysters, winkles)

Large fish (salmon, tuna, haddock, sole, bass, pike, swordfish, trout, tilapia, shark, whale, and so on)

Small/oily fish (anchovy, herring, sardine, mackerel) or squid / calamari / octopus

As much as I enjoy Mackerel and Squid, I'd order the Lobster. I mean, that's some FANCY ASS meal. I'd probably hate it, but I hate everything in terms of food, I can just bare some foods more than others (such as Mackerel and Squid), but its the *label* of the lobster. That's high-class, high-society, high-culture. I'd *feel* like a rich-ass motherf***er eating lobster. Add saute'd potato and vegetables, some weird esoteric french sauces, a two-inch bread-based started, cherry champagne, and an unnecessarily rich desert, and I'm *set*.

Probably some kind of stew or chowder, because I grew up liking seafood, so a stew is good since it usually has bits of all kinds of different things. =P But a fried catfish sandwich always sounds good too, haha.

Yeah, in some places. =] The ones I've seen aren't huge monsters like they are in the south, nor are they as popular, haha. But I've always liked southern-style food, especially seafood, so I love me some catfish when I can get my hands on it.

Do you know what spices you guys use? That's the only thing I'm not sure if I could find locally.

I've never actually cooked it myself so I'm not sure what spices usually go into it. That recipe you posted sounds about right though. We have a big Portuguese population where I live so Shrimp Mozambique is a pretty popular dish here. I can ask somebody what easy to find spices you could make it with. I'll get back to you :)

Last time I went it was all you can eat Alaskan crab buckets... They toss the crab in special seasonings that are ridiculously tasty *drolls*. They have them all over the nation... The closet to me is like 20 minutes away.

I tested them all and I found lobster is the best. It`s not only the taste, it `s also the appearance of this animal. It looks great, if you have it on your plate. "The eyes are also eating."

i live in south FL and get lobster, shrimp, and sword for free all the time(local fishermen :) so id have to say tuna, it'd be a nice change lol :D
