It doesn't bother me at all I have a friend who has them all over her shoulder and arms and you can tell that they're there and know what they are but it's really not that big of a deal. She never lets it bother her either she wears tank tops and short sleeves because she knows there her scars it's where she came from and now she's somewhere else. I would deifnently date someone that had them there's nothing wrong with it at all. Go ahead and wear whatever you want and just don't worry what people want to say the people that care about you won't care and will love you all the same =)
If I like the girl, it wouldn't bother me the slightest. I try not to make a point out of going around wondering where people goth their scars. It's not really my business. Besides, you're 16. In 3-4 years when you're becoming an adult, they'll hardly be there at all.
Did self harm to myself for a while, after my deepest I stopped, still got a few scars left from that time, but I would have no problems to date someone whom had their own scars, if anything I could relate perhaps.

Obviously self-harming is extremely controversial, and even as a former self-harmer, I think self-harm scars are disgusting and an extreme turnoff. I have countless scars on my arms, legs and torso, and for that reason, I don't take off my shirt when I'm getting intimate with a girl. All of my mental problems have had an extreme impact on my love life. So, because of the severe impact my issues have had on girls, my friends and my family, I am not attracted to girls with scars.
I used to self harm not to the extent of scars but I woukdnt have a problem dating someone who used to self harm and if they wanted support id be happy to help them
If you were still into it I'd probably try to get you to stop. I wouldn't have a problem dating someone with scars like that either way but especially not if you've quit.
