How do I tell him about this gift?

so last year for Xmas I bought my ex a gift

a small gift

and I didn't ask anything in return

he loves the soccer team arsenal so I

bought a teddy bear and dressed him up in teddy bear size arsenal uniform and wanted to give it to him

he knew about the gift but never guessed what it was and he never got it because last December we got in a fight and that's how things slowly ended..i ended up throwing it ..hes always liek you don't care about soccer etc..so yes I got hurt because I did care

anyways now we are talking again and now its December and we are good friends etc long story :p

but how do I tell him about the gift

I want him to know what I got him..kinda so he can feel bad about it.. and see how I care

To be fair, here's the flip side. If you really want him to see how much you care. Give it to him and say, "I had this for you last year, but the timing wasn't right to give it to you. So, I hope you like it, even though it's a year late." Be sweet, generous and kind, these are qualities a man looks for in a woman, and people look for in a good friend, and he will appreciate you for your understanding. I highly doubt he forgets the argument, you don't have to prompt those feelings of hurt, he'll be thankful you didn't throw it in his face and respect you more for it. Guys are hard on themselves, he'll beat himself up enough for being a d***, let him punish himself.

Shoot. Well, in that case I would get him a different gift. Maybe to have the same affect, get him something else soccer related. I would not bring up the old gift. Digging up sh*t from the past is a big NO NO. Once something has been let go it's history, in the past, and that's where it should stay.

Here's a gift sweetheart, I hope it makes you FEEL LIKE SHIT so you know how much I care about you . . . Really? Wow, you must be an awesome girlfriend/friend. That's not how you show someone you care. Really caring is putting the other person's best interest first, being humble, and being ultimately forgiving. I wouldn't bother giving a 'gift' if ill intentions were the reason for 'giving'. I hope YOU feel like sh*t for even thinking that way.
