I totally agree with martyfellow, it's sad that necessary medications are out of reach for some people and that some people even have to go without their medication because they cannot afford it or have no insurance.
I have a thyroid problem too, and it can be tough. Good to hear that it's not really affecting you much other than the hair. But that will go back to normal once you start taking the thyroid medication again. But I would not go off meds often, try to keep on them as much as possible, not having them can cause major issues.
I have had a thyroid issue for over 13 years now and I have been through so much.
Best thing to do is explain the situation to any guys you are talking too. The decent guys will understand, the one's that don't understand are not worth your time in the first place!

I experienced hair loss and researched the best vitamins to combat the problem. Then some one told me that a product named Reloxe included all the safe vitamins etc. that stimulated hair growth. I tried it and they were right! Worked in about 3 months. Reloxe Stopped me from having to buy 10 or more different kinds of vitamins per month.
I think the US is a dysfunctional country, depriving people of health and medicines they need to beef up their ilitary for endless colonial wars.
But to answer your question, any guy yu meet will be understanding of your situation. Sure the supeficial type guys will be turned off by yur hair but you're saving yourself grief by not having to deal with them
