so a couple days ago I felt a pain in my stomach and asked a trainer at the gym he said it might be a hernia I told my mom and she got scared because I had a huge back surgery about 2years ago but she was still worried well I went to the doctor he said I didn't have one and we were relieved but now my mom is making me wear a weightlifting belt I don't disagree its a safety thing and I do have a long line of family members with hernias but I also just view the belt as a sign of a bodybuilder that's been doing it for years I do want to be a body builder too and I am pretty big but I just don't see it as something I have earned yet and besides how many times do you see a16 yearold 5'3 kid with that belt I don't want to look like a pro because imnot one
I really don't think that the people that go to the gym are focused on you. You are self conscious for no reason. The people you see around the gym are focused on their goals and workouts, not your belt. And by the looksof it you aren't embarrassed. Just uncomfortable. So you can either shrug your shoulders and get on with it, or workout from home.

Everyone in there is there for a reason, just focus on it.
If you won't look out of your eyes like you want to impress, people will understand that most probably.
