women's calves usually look bigger because the calf starts lower on the shin (this is why female skiers need female ski boots). If you want to get better thighs with smaller calves, do squats, deadlifts, lunges, etc. but focus on pushing through your heel instead of the ball or middle of your foot. This will lessen the stress put on the calf muscles. Also note that one of the calf muscles is partially responsible for knee flexion, so if you choose to do leg curls, point your toes (plantar flex).

The best way to shrink your calves is to overtrain them. When you overtrain any muscle, it shrinks. So if you were to run constantly and do some heavy lifting without allowing enough time for recovery, your calves will shrink.

BTW, bigger calves are sexy on girls.
You don't want thunder thighs.
Muscular calves are sexy and a symbol of health.
Also, later when you start wearing high heels, strong calves make you more attractive.
Instead of focussing on thighs, focus on a good butt .Russian women were useful for Hitler because they had nice big strong legs and as slave labourers they were perfect, SO look at the positives . . .
