I seriously don't think so. I have been married or living with a woman for most of the past 12 years, and I can't smell it. I think it's easier to detect the smell of scented pads than pheromones.
When guys spend a lot of time around their wives and girlfriends, they know the cycle. There are a lot of things that give it away, even to coworkers or friends at school, and a guy that spends even more time closer to her will know even better. So I think it's something other than the pheromones.
I have worked with women who must have had poor hygiene because I could tell. It was nasty.

You are not talking of the smell of the blood but rather a scent the body gives off? Called pheromones..I have not noticed this...but my nose is not good...you might find this Question interesting... link
You're sure he's not smelling the "scented" tampon?
But I don't think guys can. I think they can definitely sense it by the differences in mood and our mood swings, but I don't think they can just smell it without having a conversation with you.
I don't think so. Sometimes it smells fishy if the girl doesn't have good hygiene on her period. Which is gross.

I don't, but I don't spend much time with girls. But I have heard that some guys can... so, it's possible. If you keep yourself clean, it should not be noticeable.
