Running will get the oxygen that's pumped into your blood stream efficiantly, and the more you do the better at it you will become, but as far as toning or losing weight, it is very low, as dancing will excell running every time, so if to be fair, you could limit running to 30 minutes a week and it would be the same as if you done it 3 hours a week, so as you do weights, you are doing cardio already, and your dancing is all great cardio to, so the running you are doing is nothing campared to what you are already doing, I would either replace running for swimming or an extra lesson of dance to be honest, you would get more from either than you would running, good luck , x

Running is great cardio, no doubt. Just be careful not to overdo it. Compared to an elliptical machine, running is much harder on your joints. The bloating is probably due to either a stomach issue or liquid imbalance. Try eating some salty snacks before you run and cut down a bit on the water. See if this helps.
You probably bloat because you are intaking more water on top of the water weight you already have. you may not sweat that much so you have a lot of water weight. You can use the sauna (if you go to the gym that has one) to sweat it off. You won't be as bloated. Running is a great type of cardio for you! Just make sure you switch up the cardio. It's hard on your hips, ankles, and knees. It also shakes everything in the body. Over doing it can because damage. You can lose a ton of weight though if this is a goal.

Running is the best overall caridovasuclar exercise since you can vary the pace and duration, and even use inclines, run stairs,e tc., for a more balanced workout of different set of muscles.
it's the best for weight loss or maintenance because it increases your metabolism, i.e. you can eat more!If everything is in working order, blood flow WILL increase. It's possibly this will because what seems to be bloating. More blood flow = temporary (pumped) muscles.
Why? To stop you from dying.long term running will ruin your body, your much better off biking or walking or high intensity interval training.
