What exercises should I do?

I workout a lot. I usually either run 2 miles or a use the elliptical and/or bike at a pretty high resistance for at least 30 minutes. I workout at least 5 days a week as well. I eat healthy but I wasn't as controlling of what I allowed myself to eat. By this I mean I'd eat 100% healthy for all my meals but I'd cheat before going to bed by having a SMALL thing of something not so great. Its never been a BIG cheat. I definitely plan on being 100% strict now with my diet though.

The thing is that I'm 5'2 and I look about 135/140 pounds. I'm thick, my tummy does have a tiny pouch but its far from fat or sticks out. My thighs/butt is thick. Majority of my legs is muscle, there's not a lot of "loose flab" that I can tone up.

I recently was weighed and was mortified to find out that I weigh 157 pounds. I need to drop this weight. Is running/the high resistance of the bike and elliptical still okay for me to do? Everyone keeps telling me that the number is high due to mostly muscle so I'm scared that if I continue to workout that the number will just get higher. I do have places I can tone up/lose fat though. What can I do?
