Should I go to school with his illness?

Starting Saturday morning I woke up with a stuffy nose. It has progressed into a runny/ stuffy nose at times. My throat feels rough, and my body feels weak and achy. Last night unchecked my temp and it was a slight fever of 99.4. I have stayed home. I have taken medicine to reduce the fever but most symptoms are still there and ibuprofen hash reduced the aches and weakness.

Should I attend school tomorrow? I feel like crap and just wanna lay here.

Yes, it sounds like you just have a cold, not a fever (it would have to be 101 or over). Get some non drowsy meds, some halls and tissues & tough it out.

I have for the last few days now. That's why I'm asking. There hasn't been any improvement

Colds can last up to 8 days. Gross question, but is your snot green or yellow? If it is, you have a sinus infection & need to see the doc for an antibiotic. You can still go to school, but you won't get rid of the infection w/out the antibiotics. Go blow your nose & check. I know, I said it was gross.

Sometime it is. Sometimes it isn't. Right now it's clear. There is pressure on my head when I walk in certain areas. So I guess it's possible. I don't know tbh

Pressure, huh? Sounds like a head cold. If your snot isn't green all of the time, probably not an infection. Just keep an eye on it. If it isn't gone in a week, ask your mom to make a doc appt. for you to get checked, because if you have a sinus drip, etc., it could be an alergy or what have you.

no you should stay in and get better and take it easy. If you not better by Wednesday then see a doctor. Get a lot of sleep and take lots of fluids.

How old are you? you need to explain to her that you need to get better before you go to school. Plus your not gonna be productive at school if you don't feel good.

I am 16. I tried telling her and explain how I felt. She will probably be mad with me if I feel th same way tomorrow.

Your almost an adult you need to do what's best for you and going to school will only make it worse. I mean you can tell her that you will email your teachers and do some work at home because you don't want to fall behind either.

I've gone to school with a fever of 102 before...but I'm not sure that was the best idea. Drink lots of water and go to bed early and decide when you get up in the morning based on how you feel then.

If you don't feel good then don't go. Get rest, drink plenty of water and vitamin C.
