Do guys care if a girl has self harm scars or stretch marks?

I have both and was wondering what guys think of it. and no the stretch marks aren't because of pregnancy, I've never had a kid.

Stretch marks don't usually bother me and neither do scars as far as looks but self harm scars scare me a little bit. There is a girl I know that has what look like razor scars every few inches up each arm. She's really nice, fun to talk to, and very attractive, but I'm afraid to ask what the scars are from and that keeps me from going any further than just friends with her. If she would tell me why she has them it would make me feel a lot better. So my advice is to tell guys how and why you got the scars shortly after becoming friends with them.

If you self harm, you'd know how hard it is to tell anyone that you self harm. It's friggen embarrasing and it'd be really difficult to tell someone after just becoming their friend.

I can imagine so that is why I'm afraid to ask. I want to wait until the girl I know is comfortable enough to tell me so it's up to her. If she doesn't ever tell me I don't feel trusted enough to ever be her boyfriend. Honestly the reasons she tells me she scarred herself might make me not like her but her only chance of getting me past her own self harm is to be honest with me and let me decide on my own.

Just wait until she's ready to open up to you, that's the best thing don't force it out of her. And the more you two talk and she realizes that you're trustworthy, she'll slowly open up. The reason why shouldn't be a factor though, you can help her through it. Good luck!

No it wouldn't phase me in the slighest. She should know that she wouldn't need to do that again because I'd be there for her.

Self harm scars that is.

As for Strech marks, it's natural a lot of people get them, they fade with time.

Stretch marks are nothing.

Self inflicted scars are something else. If it happened years ago and the girl could get over her borderline behavior , then I might stick around. Otherwise, run away..

what if her scars are nto self inflicted and she was just a tom boy when she was a child

and she has them on her arms and legs then what is she ugly? I have scars that why

Accidental scars are nothing, really. I've got a few myself. The self-inflicted ones that are a problem, though, because they mean the person wanted to stick to reality thanks to pain. Usually the mark of severe psychological issues (borderline, schizophrenia, bipolarity) and this is a real turn off (I've had a relationship with such a woman, the hardest year in my life).

well the reason for the self harm scars isn't because I have a borderline behavior thing, because I don't and you can't assume that everyone who self harms does or even has any type of disorder. And no one knows that I even self harm in the first place..

Scars from self harm is more serious. Ofc such things could be in the past but it can often speak of depression and mental illness...
