I want to loose weight! Where do I begin? :)

I have always been very happy with my body, but I woke up this morning with a new thought: I would be happier if I lost 25 pounds :)

I am 5'8, I weigh around 145-150 (havent measured lately, but to be safe, last time I measured I was 143. I FEEL like I have gained weight since that was about 8 months ago)

I'm 20 years old, if that matters.

This is a picture of how my body LOOKS link that's not me. she's 5'2, and I'm 5'8, so I don't pack as much on my tummy or back and my butt is larger lol. hopefully, you get the picture :)

Anyways, I want to loose weight, but I do not know where to begin! I do not have a timeline, but I would like to have lost all the weight by March of next year (in time for graduation!) I would also like to have lost some weight by Christmas time (because clothes are cheap then haha)

I DO NOT eat pork or cow. I only eat chicken and fish.

I do have access to a gym :)

Help me out! what should I eat? Do you have helpful websites?

I totally forgot to mention my fitness habits lol! I walk to and from school (quickly) every day at least 4 times, each takes 30 minutes. I run with my dog for half an hour every other day, and I work at a retail store as the person in the stock room who puts all the unloaded goods into the store. So I do a lot of walking lol. So far, thanks for the advice! I do not count calories and don't understand it very well. if you can explain this to me, I would appreciate it!
