Why does he believe I'm not taking care of myself anymore?

Anonymous
My husband got a very good job offer in Denver a couple of months ago, so we moved from my hometown oslo to his hometown Colorado springs.

Of course he had a job but I have a much harder time finding one. First there were some visa and degree recognition issues and then I found out that I'm pregnant. Who would hire me now? I'm just really worried about that and the only thing he had to say was "I make enough money for both of us, don't worry about it, just take care of yourself"

The first part may be true, but I never wanted to live off my husband. The American welfare system sucks, what if we break up? And I can't let him pay all the bills alone.

But the second part really hurt me. I am taking care of myself, why would he say I don't?

It's true I don't work out as hard as I used to, but I do everything my doctor approves of. I cook healthy, do my nails, take care of my hair and skin. I am taking care of myself, I don't understand why he said that
