Sounds like you may have an eating disorder, just saying. I can't stand it when a woman that I take on a date only orders a salad, because it makes me feel she is false. I know when she gets home she is going to eat some real food unless she is suffering from anorexia. Most men I know hate it when a woman does this on a date and say that it makes them feel uncomfortable. Let me ask you a question, why go on a dinner date if your not going to be civil and eat dinner with your date? If you feel so self conscious about eating in front of a date, why don't you avoid dinner dates? :)

order what you want (provided that its not more expensive than what he's getting) I mean, we pretty much know that your gonna order the salad to be nice and to come off as a healthy person. a girl who knows what she craves can translate into other areas too.
I have never starved myself on a date. I feel like if you're going on a date with a guy, you may as well be honest about what you like to eat. Maybe don't go for the big juicy burger that will get ketchup and mayo all over you if you re self conscious, but don't go for a salad. Find a medium, like a club sandwich or something a little less messy but a little more substantial. Cause lots of guys I know say that the people who order salads are the prissy bitches.
Also if you go out for dinner on a date and come home hungry, you're doing something wrong.
No I eat what I want and know I am incredibly lucky. I know some women have to constantly watch what they eat. The first time I went for dinner with my now s.o I ordered steak, fries, mushrooms, pepper sce the works and cleared my plate, eating more than him. He has told me.since he loved it because he thought finally a woman who enjoys her food. Yes most guys love a woman that eats and enjoys it, is a foodie even if she thinks she's overweight because he obviously doesn't. And actually paying for dinner goes a long way too

You shouldn't hold yourself back. The first times I went out with my boyfriend I ordered what I really wanted to eat and he did the same. It's the confidence you portray that gets a man too. If you care too much about what others will think, it shows. I roll my eyes at my female friends when we go out to dinner and they're like "just a salad". Because... really... we don't see each other a lot and when we do... they order f***ing salad?! It's like... how uncomfortable do you feel around me to be asking for that sh*t?
Of course, not that salads are wrong, I'm a f***ing vegetarian, I should know. But one thing is ordering a light dish because you like it, another thing is to order a light dish because you feel judged (that might be evident) and another thing is to order a poor dish because you don't have a lot of money hahaha, which is alright, I've been there. But really... don't give a damn.Omgg girl I know exactly what you mean, I went out with my boyfriend and some friends last night and they ordered a bunch of food. I didn't feel to comfortable with the food choices because we were at buffalo wild wings watching the game so the options were wings with different types of sauce, nachos, mozzarella sticks, onion rings or fried pickles. Just not sexy food to be scarfing down. I had lemonade, a mozzarella stick and a few chips. My girl who wasn't with a guy was chowing down and my man kept trying to feed me it was so awkward.
I say do what makes you comfortable, I didn't feel comfortable eating that food so I didn't. But I ate when I got home. I was brought up to be a lady, so I'm not gonna present my self as a pig. Well that's just how I think.
Its okay to eat things other than salad as long as your comfortable. :)Personally, I don't mind a girl who gets messy with her burger. I like a girl who knows how to enjoy good things, like good food.
And burgers are meant to be messy. You don't take it apart and cut it up with a knife and fork.
If a girl did that, I'd be a little weirded out, to be honest.I don't go that far, but I completely get when you mean. I will chose a meal that I need utensils for.
However, I will also opt for the one of the cheaper items on the menu. I don't think it's fair for him to have to dip too much into his pocket just for me!Hell no. The only thing I would not do on a date is order something that's messy like you said a juicy burger or spaghetti. but I will eat real food that I like and enjoy eating. I'm not gonna be all fake and eat like a bird only to go home and pig out later because I'm starving. he needs to accept that he's dating a real woman who *gasp* ingests food!
Well, I'm a vegetarian but being on a date could influence my food choices. I'm more concerned about picking something that's easy to eat though, not about whether or not the food is heavy, greasy, etc. I don't give it that much thought and typically just go with pasta, because it's filling, tasty, and what I want anyway. But I would be less inclined to get a big sandwich that's hard to eat :)
Rarely. On my most recent first date, we went to Red Robin and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and he told me how much he appreciated my comment "bacon makes everything better!" ;)
I always order something I'm comfortable with, but I also try to go for one of the cheapest things on the menu haha. Sometimes I will watch what I eat... I never starve myself, but I'll order broccoli instead of fries or something.I know how you feel haha, I've done that salad thing too. Personally If I didn't feel comfortable ordering what I want to eat, in front of a guy probably I wouldn't be dating him.
I would however if it was a first date and your not already friends not suggest starting with something that will get you super messy, like a burger.I always order normal...but last guy I dated I didn't want to order much because the dates were weird...1 in the morning and the other ones at night, I prefer a BIG lunch than breakfast or dinner.
I prefer healthy as salads or soup haha...but maybe next time will eat REAL FOOD! :)Oh no way would I starve myself for a guy, I order whatever I want on the menu, I may eat like a pig but I do act civilized, after all burgers are meant to be eaten messy and I love cheeseburgers :)
Eating a salad is fine as long as it's an appetizer. An example would be Olive Garden. I'll be eating the salad, ordering myself some calamari, then ordering a spaghetti with meatballs. Maybe it's because I'm an American, but when I eat I want to eat til I am full.
Don't order a salad that's annoying.
Don't order the most expensive entree unless you are planning to fulfill every fantasy we have later. No way! When I eat, I eat! I mean, at the end of the day is just food. Why would a guy judge you for eating hot wigs or a hamburger? o.o women can eat that too. As long as your not ordering a $25-30 pasta or steak. just by itself! I think you're good
I order actual food but I just never finish it. Because I eat little meals instead of big ones at one time. Lol I always get crap for it too. Saying I'm wasteful. Ohhhhh Well(:
I wouldn't get just a salad. Because I know that I would still be hungry later and might overeat. So I would just order something sensible. Don't stress about it.
I love salad in general, so I will order it every now and then, but for dinner I usually like to have a meat based dish. I will order what I want when I go on a date, I just will eat less messy, or eat a lot less.
I never feel like I have to starve myself but if I am going for work out the burger I make sure to work out later on. Food is just to good to miss out!
No, I just get something moderately priced.
